A THIRD POLITICAL PARTY. IT IS TIME FOR CHANGE

Third political parties have had little success in America. In the United States the two dominant parties are Republican and Democrat. Third political parties rarely win legislative elections, in large part, because proportional representation is rarely used, and Congress has banned it for federal elections since 1967. In effect the United States has shut the door on third party presidential candidates.

The voters know that it is almost a certainty a Democrat or Republican candidate will win most elections. Only when there is a well known third party candidate with a good message will the results be different. It is most likely that a third party candidate will find success at the State or Local level. The main reason for this is the less need for funds in facing a targeted audience. Especially at the local level, third parties candidates find their greatest victories.

Jesse Ventura was a third party (Reform Party) winner in Minnesota in a hard fought gubernatorial race. On the other hand was John Lindsay of New York who ran on the Liberal and Independent party to win the Mayoral trophy in the mid 1960's.  At the presidential level was George Wallace who ran for President under the American Independent Party, but this was in a spoilers role. Although he won 5 states, the campaign was not deemed a success. Other notables with presidential aspirations were Nader, Anderson and Keyes.

Jess Ventura's campaign consisted of a combination of aggressive grassroots events and original television spots, using the phrase "Don't vote for politics as usual." He spent considerably less than his opponents (about $300,000) and is widely regarded as one of the first candidates to effectively use the internet as a medium of reaching out to voters in a political campaign.

We at TNBTP believe that the time is right for a THIRD PARTY to make a serious run for the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. The tax payer is demanding change before it is too late. Who will emerge, who will put their foot forward, who will have the right message, who will have the credentials to succeed, will have the charisma to win over the voter? WE ARE WAITING FOR YOU, PLEASE ANSWER THE CALL.

WHERE IS THE POLITICAL INVISIBLE MAN OF TODAY?
