GUNFIGHT AT THE OK CORRAL

The gunfight at the O.K. Corral has come to symbolize the struggle between law-and-order and open-banditry and rustling in frontier towns of the Old West where law enforcement was often weak or simply nonexistent. In other views, the fight was a more complex embodiment of some of the tensions of the American Civil War of a generation before. One group of fighters represented rural Democrats from Texas who were involved in the cattle-trade in a remote area of Arizona territory which had been desert just a few years before. The other faction (the Earps) had come from the East with the frontier, and represented the very different city-interests of Yankee Republican capitalists and businessmen who were attempting to manage a silver-mining boom-town with Eastern expectations of behavior. The gunfight occurred on the physical border of these two cultures.
The gunfighters: Wyatt Earp, Morgan Earp, Virgil Earp and Doc Holiday fought Frank McLaury, Tom McLaury, Billy Claiborne, Ike Clanton and Billy Clanton.

Today we have another gunfight scheduled, it is coming in September. The 21st Century Gunfight will take place in Washington D.C. not Tombstone Arizona.  Today's gunfight will have many different players, but they can be described as being in two camps, Democrats and Republicans. The fight will be over health care. It is up to you, the American Patriot to bring your ammunition to the fight. Phone your Congressman and Senators, Fax them, send them letters, make it known that the majority of Americans do not want Government Run Health Care. We want government out of our lives. Send them a message, send the Blue Dog Democrats a message. Call the Republicans, some may be wavering.  Tell them that Henry Waxman and Nancy Pelosi cannot walk over them like a runaway freight train. Remember the 2010 election is coming sooner than you think and your voice must be heard. Those Representatives and Senators who are sitting on the fence need to be convinced of their wayward ways. Bring them into reality, make your voice heard. It is never too late. These guys work for you, they do not RULE you like Joe Courtney of Connecticut said.
