Many of our readers are familiar with the drastic state of inner city school systems. The failure of our education system is the direct result of a non competitive education system. The education of our youth has been a predominant union affair. The unions responsible are none other than the AFT www.aft.org, and the NEA www.nea.org. These two organizations are the most powerful unions in the country. They are the largest supporters of democratic candidates. They are anti charter schools vouchers and school choice, they are against merit raises for teachers, they are against change. For the past 40 years the taxpayers of the United States have poured trillions of dollars into education, yet we have not seen any improvement in test scores. But we have seen tremendous increases in teacher pay.

Minorities have not been educated and it is the fault of those in charge. Make no mistake about. The minorities have been short changed, the tax payers have been short changed, the country has been short changed. The first question to be answered is, "why has this happened ?".  The second question to be answered is, "if the teachers are so smart, why haven't they come up with a solution ?"  We demand answers. America is falling behind the rest of the world. We are last in most categories. We are raising an uneducated generation. The latest results show that Asians out score white students in English. This is a travesty. The system must be changed, the minority students have not reached their full potential and it is partly the fault of the education lobby. We need new blood. We need  new ways of thinking, we demand a restructuring of  the education system. Please note that 40% of our teachers work in right to work states where teachers are not represented by a union.

We give credit to Arne Duncan the Secretary of Education for being a proponent of charter schools and vouchers. Hooray for Arne, hooray for President Obama for nominating him. We must admit the blame for our deteriorating schools is not entirely a union fault. Inner city live in a hostile environment, they are constantly faced with drugs, they are faced with gang violence and live in substandard housing.  These negative elements are also prime factors. However, the inner city voter has mostly supported democratic canidates. And what have they got in return. Zilch, Zilch, Nada, Nada. Our advice to the minority inner city voter, keep voting the way you have been for the past 40 years and you will get the same result. Do you want your kids to participate in the American Dream or do you want them to live the American Nightmare?  It is your choice. Look for alternatives, you can make it happen.
