JOHN STOSSEL IS GIVEN THE BOOT BY ABC. GOOD NEWS THOUGH AS HE HEADS TO FOX NEWS

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9GMKK_fWKg Watch this video and you will understand why the health care debate is so emotional. Don't trust what the government tells you, trust what you see. Evidence from England and Canada is sufficient enough to make you sick. Government take over of the health care system will turn out to be a another government program run amok.

John Stossel fired for bringing the truth to you. Do not believe for one minute what the government tells you. They are broke financially and morally. Their only salvation is to impliment a Socialist economic system in the United States when all other countries are throwing their socialist systems under the bus.  http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Stossel/

TV co-anchor Stossel says he doesn't want to be labeled

'Funny kind of conservative' to visit mid-Mich.

Christopher Behnan • Daily Press & Argus • October 4, 2009 • From Lansing State Journal Longtime co-anchor of ABC's "20/20" John Stossel this month will move to Fox News - widely considered a conservative news source - but don't try to label him.

His catch phrase, "Give me a break," is a staple of "20/20," and the namesake of one of his books.

more left-leaning on-air talent.

"I think more is better. We used to just have Walter Cronkite say, 'That's the way it is,' " Stossel said of the late CBS news anchor.

Debunking myths

Stossel has taken on a host of myths during his nearly 30-year career on ABC, from wives' tales about cold remedies to professional wrestling.

He was attacked by a professional wrestler during a segment in which he asked the wrestler to admit that pro wrestling is fake.

"That sort of annoyed me, so I love to bust those myths," Stossel said.

He said the myths he targets to bust are both generated by mainstream media, such as statements about the dangers of pesticides, but also commonly held beliefs in society.

Market bust

Stossel, a free-market advocate, challenges the idea that the collapse of Wall Street last year could have been prevented by more regulation.

He said the collapse was simply a result of regular "booms and busts" in free markets.

"I say that's nonsense. There's never proper oversight," he said. "Oversight always goes into the tank in time.

"Even if it was the market (that caused the downturn), we're still a hell of a lot better off than we were 30 years ago because nothing creates prosperity like free markets."

Stossel said his switch to Fox News has less to do with political views than an opportunity to do more "Give me a break"-type segments and explore other story ideas on Fox News.
