NEW LONDON CONNECTICUT TEA PARTY HELD AT FORT TRUMBULL ON A BRISK SATURDAY AFTERTNOON
Fort Trumbull is located in New London, Connecticut. The Fort, Built from 1839 - 1852, the fortification is one of a group of 42 forts which were constructed for the defense of the coast of the United States, and for defense of the harbors they guarded. The Tea Party hosted by Andrew Lockwood, who is running for New London City Council, was the host. Those in attendance include, John Wallace, the Vermont State Coordinator of the New England Tea Party Coalition, Steve Steinberg, co-founder of the Connecticut Patriot Alliance, Jen Ezzell of the Norwich Tea Party Patriots(jen@freenorwich.com) and Clifford S. Atkin founder of The New Boston Tea Party. William Landers, owner of Ameriborn News, filmed the event. Other speakers focused on the Supreme Court case of Kelo v the City of New London, the Pre-amble to the U.S. Constitution and our second amendment rights. The host, Andrew Lockwood arrived on a masted schooner, reminiscent of the Dartmouth, which was carrying boxes of tea in Boston Harbor that infamous day back in December 1773. These local Tea Parties held through out the United States are very important in keeping the movement alive. Come November 2010 the Tea Party Patriots across the United States will send a shot heard around the world. Watch for the shot will be launched at the ballot box.
