LIBERALISM, THE DEMOCRATIC DEFINITION, NOT THE TRUE MEANING OF THE WORD

Many of us know the true meaning of the word "liberal", we were taught its true definition in school. To most of you, liberal means being for freedom of the individual and his natural or inalienable rights. We have to highlight the original meaning of the term, liberal, to emphasize the contradiction of that word in terms of defining the "liberal media or liberal politician." First of all the word is derived from the latin, "liberalis", meaning (suitable for a free man) is the belief in the importance of individual freedom. the great philosopher, John Locke, who we may add, was responsible for today's definition.  He  is often credited with the philosophical foundations of modern liberalism. 
 Locke wrote "no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty, or possessions."  This seems similar to the definition written into our Declaration of Independence. "all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness; that to insure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed."
 Locke's Two Treatises on Government (1689) discussed two fundamental liberal ideas: intellectual liberty, including freedom of conscience, which he further expounded in the same year in A Letter Concerning Toleration, and economic liberty, the right to have and use property. These early liberal ideas were tentative (and published anonymously).

The late French enlightenment saw two figures who would have tremendous influence on later liberal thought: Voltaire, who argued that the French should adopt constitutional monarchy and disestablish the Second Estate, and Rousseau,

who argued for a natural freedom for mankind. Rousseau also argued the importance of a concept that appears repeatedly in the history of liberal thought, namely, the social contract. He rooted this in the nature of the individual and asserted that each person knows their own interest best. His assertion that man is born free, and that education was sufficient to restrain him within society, rocked the monarchical society of his age. His ideas were a key element in the declaration of the National Assemblyduring the French Revolution, and in the thinking of Americans such as Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson.

Democracy

The relationship between liberalism and democracy may be summed up by Winston Churchill's famous remark, "...democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms..." In short, there is nothing about democracy per se that guarantees freedom rather than a tyranny of the masses. The coinage liberal democracy suggests a more harmonious marriage between the two principles than actually exists. Liberals strive after the replacement of absolutism by limited government: government by consent. The idea of consent suggests democracy. At the same time, the founders of the first liberal democracies feared both government power and mob rule, and so they built into the constitutions of liberal democracies both checks and balances intended to limit the power of government by dividing those powers among several branches, and a bill of rights intended to protect the rights of individuals. For liberals, democracy is not an end in itself, but an essential means to secure liberty, individuality and diversity.

LIBERTARIANS DEFINED; All forms of libertarianism support strong personal rights to life and liberty, but do not agree on the subject of property. The most commonly known formulation of libertarianism supports free market capitalism by advocating a right to private property, including property in the means of production,  minimal government regulation of that property, minimal taxation, and rejection of the welfare state, all within the context of the rule of law.

PROGRESSIVISM

Progressivism is a political and social term that refers to ideologies and movements favoring or advocating changes or reform, usually in a statist or egalitarian direction for economic policies (government management) and liberal direction for social policies (personal choice).Progressivism is often viewed in opposition to conservative ideologies

Political parties, such as the Progressive Party, organized at the start of the 20th century, and progressivism made great strides under American presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon Baines Johnson. We add Barack Hussein Obama to the list. He was nominated by Hillary, the progressive, Clinton to be today's titular head of the Progressive Movement.

So here we are, the LIBERAL of TODAY is actually an Authoritary Totalitarian. What does this mean? The Liberals are not liberals at all, they have two sets of liberal rules; one for themselves and one for their opponents. "do what I tell you to do, not what I do."  The liberals of today, now call them progressives, they tolerate liberalism when it comes to the social freedom, but are invariably against liberalism when it comes to an individuals right of economic freedom. They(liberal progressives) do not believe in the "RIGHT TO PURSUE HAPPINESS." They believe that it is better to have the government decide what is fair and not fair. What to give to the "have nots" and take away from the "haves". This is Socialism, pure and simple.

 Once again it is necessary to note that PROGRESSIVES ARE AGAINST MOST, IF NOT ALL, CONSERVATIVE IDEOLOGIES. This is something to think about, progressives are not liberals, but actually authoritarians. And if left alone, they can easily become dictators. REMEMBER TZARS are not for individual freedom, but for one individual rule by themselves.  Tzar (CZAR) a ruler who claims the same rank as an emperor, with the approval of a supreme ecclesiastical official. Does this sound like what is happening today? Appointment of  Tzars by a supreme ruler?  "Tsar" was the official title for a  supreme ruler in many countries located in Europe. Czar Nicholas 2nd(Romanoff) of Russia was the supreme ruler until the Bolshevik Revolution over through his rein.
