The companies that hire illegal aliens need to be brought to justice. Arrest the employers and the illegals will head south quicker than they headed north. Here is the economics, the companies that hire these illegals are too cheap to pay wages that attract legal Americans to fill the open positions. That is the crux of the matter. Any American would be willing to  wash dishes, pick grapes, harvest apples for $20 per hour, but the owners of these enterprizes will not pay the going rate to attract workers to fill these jobs.  By employing illegals they are responsible for attracting the illegals. Deal with them and the problem is partially solved. If the government starts confiscating the companies property, you would see an immediate flight of the illegals. Secondly, the companies will have to pay up to attract the legal Americans, thereby reducing the unemployment rate. Will it happen? It could.
