DOES WHAT HAPPENED IN IOWA STAY IN IOWA?

Looking at it through rose colored glasses, Ron Paul views his showing in Iowa as a win. Truth be told, Mr. Paul was taken to the slaughter house. Mitt Romney, running like he was already president, kept his head above some of that tall Iowa October corn. Rick Santorum, who? Came out of the wheat fields with more than a grain of hope. Newt Gingrich forgot to play defense and is now huddling with his advisors. We thought that was a no-no; didn't they quit in New Hampshire a few months back? Michelle Bachman, an Iowan, turned out the question was? Where is the beef? And Governor Huntsman found the true meaning of a stampede.

They head to New Hampshire where the next battle takes place. New Hampshire is in the midst of summer (no snow this year and balmy weather to boot) in January, which is fine with the politicians. No trudging through snow banks going from one diner to another. Mitt, has a nice bungalow on Lake Winnipisaukee, this will help him in his quest to secure another win. Be from Massachesetts also helps. Although the win in Iowa was actually a loss. Mitt by the way was the author of  Romneycare; sounds like Obamacare to us. And Newt Gingrich is, from sources which we can't divulge, is barreling in some heavy ammunition. New Hampshire's state motto is, LIVE FREE OR DIE." We know what that means. You want my gun, try to take it.

Rick Santorum is stopping off in Boston for a short  visit to the Federal Reserve Bank; He needs a pile of cash and now that he has some collateral worth more than the hot air coming from President Obama's mouth. Ron Paul gave a call to his old friend in Iran, Ahmadinejad who immediately hung up on him. Michelle Bachman is not going to make the trip; she decided to stay with relatives in Iowa. And that John Huntsman fellow; what doesn't he understand, when the people say no, they mean it. And Texas Hold 'M Rick Perry is most likely heading off into the sunset. Actually Rick said he was heading somewhere, but he forgot where.

After New Hampshire, the top four will slug it out in the good old state of South Carolina. And we love their state motto. Translated from Latin, "Prepared in Mind and Resources". Translated to English this means, the state does not need to rely on the Federal Government. Do you hear that Washington D.C.? From there they head farther south to Florida. We wish them the best, may the best man/woman emerge from the ashes. In passing, we remind you that the road ahead is long with many a winding turns.
