With Obamacare lurking behind the curtain, ready to step onto the stage for its opening act in 2014, corporate America its audience has sat back as if mesmerized by all of the hoopla. What these corporate denizens don't realize is that Obamacare is the next giant step of Big Government into the workplace. By forcing companies to provide government approved health insurance to their employees, profitable and non profitable alike, a thundering herd -think sucking sound- of employers will have no alternative but to escape once again the big hand of socialist government by heading  for the hills.

For example Big Government has legislative the family leave act, American's with Disability Act, they have forced companies to pay an equal share of social security on wages, it is mandatory to pay state and federal unemployment insurance, to provide workmen compensation and give sick time or personal time off to employees with pay. All of these policies are socialistic in nature, but Obamacare is the albatross around the corporate neck. What worries us is that the corporate masters do not seem to care. We expect Obamacare to cause at least a 1 or 2 percent increase in prices of all products and services by 2014. We wonder where is the outrage by corporate executives who seem to be tongue tied. After all they will have to cope with more government regulations which we all know, is the reason for the present lack of corporate investment.

For some reason corporate executives are afraid to speak up. Why is this? We can only guess; is it that they are receiving or will receive some future benefit from the Obama administration? Are they afraid of government scrutinity with penalties to follow (EPA-Labor Department-IRS) if they don't implement Obamacare; do they have something to hide? Why are they not speaking up? We would like to know what is on their mind. 

If it were us running a company and were forced by Big Socialist Government to provide health insurance to our employees, a cost we could not afford, we would have no alternative but to shut down or move out of the country. Is this why our corporations remain silent because they to anticipate moving in 2014? We shall see. One salient point, this Obamacare will turn the healthcare industry into the largest social welfare scheme run by unions that any country has ever seen. Will the Supreme Court rule against it before the election? We patiently wait for their decision.
