NYC crime rate climbed 31% in July compared to July 2021 amid surges in murders, shootings, thefts, robberies
A spike in shootings and murders in July fueled a 31% increase in the city’s crime rate over the same month in 2021, the NYPD said Friday, continuing to fuel a hot-button political issue that has the mayor and governor at odds.
Murders were up 34% last month compared to July 2021, the NYPD data shows. Police counted 47 murders in July 2022, up from 35 committed in July 2021.
Shootings were up 13% in July 2022 to July 2021. The city recorded 178 shooting incidents last month, up from 157 it counted in July 2021.
July’s victims of gun murders include a security guard at a “Law & Order” set in Brooklyn, an 18-year-old allegedly killed by an off-duty city correction officer in the Bronx, and a 14-year-old who was visiting from New Jersey when he was shot in East Harlem.
The increased in murders and shooting incidents combined with spikes in robberies and thefts to boost the overall crime rate by 31% this July compared with July 2021.
Grand larcenies were up 41% in July 2022 compared to July 2021. Last month, police recorded 4,588 grand larcenies, which under New York law are thefts of cash or property worth more than $1,000. That was up by 1,326 from the 3,262 recorded in July 2021.
Robberies were up 37% in July 2022 compared to July 2021. Police counted 1730 robberies in July 2022, up by 469 from July 2021.

Despite the bump in July, New York City’s murder rate is down 4% so far in 2022 compared to 2022. Police have recorded 253 slayings so far this year, compared with 264 in the first seven months of 2021.
Shooting incidents are down 9% so far this year, with 816 reported in 2022 compared with 894 at the same point in 2021.
But increases in other crimes have boosted the citywide crime rate year to date by 37%, police data shows.
“Everyone who lives, works and visits here deserves to be safe, and the members of the NYPD will tolerate nothing less,” Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said Friday.
“But we cannot do it alone,” Sewell said. “When violent criminals are willing to carry illegal guns on our streets and brazenly shoot at innocent people they must face real consequences.”

The news comes two days after Mayor Adams and the NYPD, in their strongest pushback yet against bail reform, highlighted at a news conference criminal suspects they called the “worst of the worst” — 10 repeat offenders with nearly 500 arrests among them who have been released repeatedly without bail.
Adams and the police blame the elimination of bail for misdemeanors and certain felonies that went into effect with the criminal justice reform laws in 2020.
The department also pointed out that 716 people have been linked to 30% of the 2,400 shootings in the city since the start of last year, suggesting that far too many have been released without bail in those and other incidents.
At the Wednesday news conference, Adams pushed for more amendments to the reforms — including allowing judges to weigh the likelihood suspects will commit another offense if they’re released with no bail.
But Albany politicians took different tacks in responding to the NYPD criticism.
Gov. Hochul called out judges and prosecutors for not following the law and declining to set bail in cases where recent changes make it possible. She said recent changes to give judges more authority to set bail for repeat offenders.
Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D-Bronx) — who like Hochul has said judges are not setting bail in cases where they can do so — griped on Twitter that Adams has not shared with lawmakers the data he claims prove that too many criminals are getting rearrested.

The people of the Great States of West Virginia and Arizona know where they are coming from. They represent the Suicide Bomber Squad, the socialist left and the Overthrow of the United States.
Remember, both of these, soon to be losers, are Joe Biden. They sold out the states of West Virginia and Arizona.
Manchin has derived 95% of his donations from outside interests. Bought and paid for by the likes of Soros and the Teachers Unions. What does that tell you? He is in lock-step with Communists. West Virginians can’t wait to get him packing. See you in two years.
Sinema is a past member of the Green Party; a socialist, bought and paid for by the left. Her record is 99% in line with the Squad. Arizona does not need another John McCain. A guy who hated Trump so much he voted down one bill after another that was to benefit the citizens of our Country. Sinema works for herself, speaks out three sides of her mouth. We will see her in two years, count on it.

Like the guy who fell from a fifty story building, waving to the observes as he passes each floor, smiling at the onlookers until, kerplunk. And we know first hand from the CBD floozies that comorbidities add to the seriousness to the affliction.
Your faculties take a toll, death thoughts enter your mind. Questions on your survival become front and center. You become weary wondering what is next. You start to question your own invincibility, you become antagonistic, start to swear at others before the final bell takes its toll. Believe us when we tell you, Joe is close to the ground floor.

The Drunken Lout, high on unknown substances including alcohol tipped the scales at .08%, but the PO-lice didn’t administer the blood alcohol test at the scene; they drove him around and then measured the PC two hours later. So it can be assumed that he was well over the 10% range, in fact closer to 12%. However, this beleaguered trash attempted to bribe the investigating officers with a “get out of jail card.” This is a bribe, there are no two ways about it.

FIRST ON FOX: A California law enforcement association said Thursday that it would review Paul Pelosi’s membership following reports he flashed his member card to officers during his DUI arrest in May.
The California Highway Patrol 11-99 (CHP 11-99) Foundation confirmed that any member who brings its name or property into law enforcement contact is in violation of the group’s terms and conditions agreement. The foundation noted the part of its policy which states that attempting to use membership in exchange for “preferential treatment” in any contact with police will result in immediate termination.

Mr. Pelosi got behind the wheel of his black 2021 Porsche 911 to drive the six miles to the Pelosis’ Napa Valley country house. It was around 10 p.m., according to a police report and eyewitnesses.
He went a little more than half a mile and was trying to cross State Route 29 and make a left. But a Jeep was coming down the highway and hit Mr. Pelosi’s car as he made the turn.
The police who responded arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and suspicion of driving with a .08 blood alcohol content or higher. He is due back in court on Aug. 3. If criminal charges are filed, he will be arraigned then. (The driver of the Jeep was not arrested.)
It may not have been only alcohol that hindered Mr. Pelosi’s driving. Two people who have spoken with the Pelosis since the crash said that Mr. Pelosi had had cataract surgery in the days preceding the dinner. (Doctors are somewhat divided about when it is acceptable to drive, with estimates that range from 24 hours to two weeks.)

Mugshot released as CHP, Napa County DA’s contend with rumors of DUI charges being dropped

The Napa County Sheriff released a mugshot of Paul Pelosi on Tuesday, following his DUI arrest in late May, as the Napa County District Attorney’s Office fended off allegations that Pelosi’s charges had been dropped.
Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) got into a car accident in Oakville on May 28th. According to a California Highway Patrol (CHP) press release, his Porsche struck a Jeep at the intersection of State Route 29 and Walnut Lane a little after 10 P.M. Although neither of the drivers was injured, and the Jeep driver was not arrested, Pelosi was tested for driving under the influence. The CHP, with Napa County DA confirmation, found that Pelosi’s blood alcohol content (BAC) level was at or above .08, above the legal limit.
Pelosi, who was alone with Speaker Pelosi in Rhode Island to give a commencement address at Brown University, was then booked early Sunday morning with bail being set at $5,000. The bail was subsequently paid, with Pelosi leaving the County jail at around 7:30 A.M. Pelosi then agreed on an August 3rd Court date at the Napa County Superior Court.
While the incident was quickly rotated out of the news cycle, a comment by Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) last week, responding to a then-unknown false report that the charges had been dropped, brought the story back to the public’s attention.
“Paul Pelosi’s DUI charges have been dropped,” tweeted Boebert on June 8th. “Is anyone really surprised?”
The unexpected tweet forced the Napa County DA’s office and the CHP to release further info about the case and make statements that Pelosi was still under investigation. Napa County District Attorney Allison Haley clarified that the incident is still under review and that her office would be the one making the announcement.
“The Napa County District Attorney’s Office is currently reviewing charges stemming from the DUI arrest of Paul Pelosi,” DA Haley said in a statement. “The California Highway Patrol arrested Mr. Pelosi for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving with a .08% Blood Alcohol Content or Higher. He was booked into the Napa County Department of Corrections and cite released.”
“Mr. Pelosi agreed to a court date of August 3, 2022, at 8:30 am in Napa County Superior Court. If criminal charges are filed, Mr. Pelosi would be arraigned at that time. The case is currently under review to decide what, if any, charges will be filed against Mr. Pelosi. This is standard protocol for any DUI case that is referred by a law enforcement agency in Napa County.”
“No decision has been made at this time. Any speculation to the contrary is incorrect. When a filing decision is made by the Napa County District Attorney, the media and public will be notified.”
Public pressure on the CHP, Napa County DA’s office returns
However, with public pressure returning, the CHP soon released Pelosi’s mugshot while also refusing to release other materials around the incident such as transcripts and bodycam footage due to it still being an active investigation.
“The Napa County District Attorney’s Office has advised the release of records would jeopardize an ongoing investigation. As such, records are being withheld pursuant to Government Code section 6254 (f),” explained the CHP earlier this week.”
With public interest in the case now back less than 2 months before Pelosi’s hearing in early August, many have noted that the increased interest may only put more pressure on state and local officials over the case.
“A lot of people are worried that he might be let off or just get a slap on the wrist due to influence from his wife or because of his age,” Luisa Vargas, a researcher who studies drunk driving incidents involving public figures, explained to the Globe on Tuesday. “We see celebrities and athletes and politicians get seemingly lighter sentences all the time, and with that rumor last week that all charges would be dropped, you know, people were angry.”
“Eyes are now back on the case much quicker than usual in these types of cases, so if there is any political pressure to do something about it, everyone around the case is probably walking on eggshells now. We’ve seen from celebrity trials like on O.J. Simpson and Michael Jackson and Mel Gibson and so many others that the police are questioned, the DA’s office is questioned, and sometimes every step of the case is put up to debate in the court. From all these press releases, you can tell they don’t want a media circus around a standard DUI case.”
“That’s why they are being diplomatic about it at the same time they are letting the public know exactly where they are and quashing these rumors that are coming up. They don’t want the court of public opinion to decide right now, especially with things like fault, what his exact BAC was, the circumstances of the accident, and other details still not being known. We have to wait for them to do their jobs, which can be frustrating.”
“But, no matter the outcome, this will be a big story in the next few months, as no matter what is ruled, it will come out right when election season is hitting the next gear, so this will definitely be a future problem the Nancy Pelosi and many Democratic candidates and incumbents relying on her for support and donations and such.”

PELOSI TAKES A VACATION – HER HUSBAND ARRESTED
We applaud the lady for showing her face in the South Pacific, the home of the Kuomintang. Very industrious people, who by the way, the majority of which think of themselves as Taiwanese. However, Xi Jinping doesn’t like foreign visitors to show up on the island which is only 100 miles from the mainland.
Many of the super rich Chinese can’t leave because Xi has told them so.
There those who have left scalped the system of millions. Others have tried but to no avail. 
Branden wasn’t too happy about Pelosi testing the veritable waters. You see, POTUS doesn’t want to make any waves. So his imprimatur was not given to the Lady of the House.
BTW, if you didn’t see it, that was some boat Pelosi was driving. Good thing her husband didn’t go along, especially after wrecking his Porsche; wouldn’t want to see him take the wheel on this one. 
Paul Pelosi, the multimillionaire husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, allegedly had a drug in his system (was it fentanyl imported from China?), addressed officers with slurred speech, and tried to hand them a police courtesy card during his May arrest on DUI charges, according to court documents.
Pelosi’s 2021 Porsche and the other driver’s 2014 Jeep sustained “major collision damage” in a crash around 10:17 p.m. on May 28, and responding officers found Pelosi in his driver’s seat in his damaged car near the intersection of California Route 29 and Oakville Cross Road.
Pelosi allegedly handed officers his driver’s license and an “11-99 Foundation” card when they asked for his ID, according to the documents. The 11-99 Foundation is a California Highway Patrol charity that supports officers and provides scholarships for their children.
Pelosi allegedly exhibited “signs of impairment” during field sobriety tests and officers “observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication,” according to the documents.

A database housing the resumes and other personnel information of members of the Biden administration reveals his Department of Education’s ties to unions, liberal think tanks, and his own campaign for president.
According to the resumes housed in America First Legal’s (AFL) “Woke Wagon” database, more than 20 Department of Education political appointees worked on the Biden administration, while many more worked for other Democratic candidates for president like Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris or Pete Buttigieg.
The resumes in the database also show the department’s ties to liberal think tanks like the Center for American Progress, and teachers unions like the National Education Association.

FBI Director Christopher Wray always seems a little too pleased with himself. But on Thursday the smirk may be wiped off his pretty face when Republican members of the House oversight committee start grilling him on the mounting evidence that something is very rotten inside the agency Wray runs.
Top of the list is the curious question of why the FBI apparently did nothing with Hunter Biden’s laptop, which was handed to two agents on Dec. 9, 2019, by John Paul Mac Isaac, the alarmed owner of the computer repair shop near the Biden family homes in Greenville, Del., where Hunter had dropped off his MacBook eight months earlier.
Among other potential crimes to be found on the abandoned laptop, you would expect the FBI to be interested, on national security grounds, in the incriminating evidence of a corrupt foreign influence-peddling scheme run by the Biden family throughout Joe Biden’s vice presidency.
Equally curious is why the FBI apparently did nothing with another voluminous trove of corroborating material, given to them in October 2020 by Hunter’s former business partner, Navy veteran Tony Bobulinski, including emails and other documents which replicate those on Hunter’s laptop.
Bobulinski has said he was interviewed for several hours by FBI agents, as part of an investigation into Hunter, after he held a bombshell press conference on Oct. 22. 2020, alleging that then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden had lied when he claimed to have no involvement in Hunter’s foreign deals. Bobulinski also said that Joe Biden was the “Big Guy” referred to by Hunter’s partners in encrypted messages and intercepted voice messages.
