THE HAMAS MOUSE TRAP – ISRAEL’S FAILURE

Israel was caught by surprise on October 7, the military was not prepared for such an event. Now, the war is in full swing despite calls for a pause in the action. This will give Hamas more time to set booby traps meant to kill Israeli troops who seek to kill the terrorists and at the same time rescue the hostages.

IDF uncovers 800 Hamas tunnels since start of war, destroys 500

Many of the tunnels connected strategic Hamas locations underground and were located in civilian areas, such as in or near kindergartens, mosques, and children’s playgrounds, amounting to further evidence of Hamas’s use of Gaza’s civilian population as a weapon of war.

Although Israel has Hamas on the run, they still have not broke the backs of Hamas. Tunnels have been infiltrated, terrorists have been killed, but the remaining hostages have not been released, nor has their leaders been given a carpet ride to Allah. 
With all of the technology Israel has, they have not been able to capture the Hamas leadership. Israel knew from past experience of the tunnels, but their intelligence was caught flat footed with the extent of the subway system. Other questions remain, for instance how was Hamas able to secure the materials to build this labyrinth, a matrix that extends for miles beneath Gaza? Where is the Robot phalanx, where is the penetrating sonar, lidar, radar?  Who was sleeping on the job here when all of this was going on?

Israel has to answer these questions.
