I wish I was emailing you right now with better news.

Andrew’s first court hearing was yesterday afternoon and the judge did not set him free. Instead, after hearing Andrew’s retelling of that fateful wrong turn into Mexico, the judge set an additional court date for August.

I have been told this may just be the first of many court dates to come. Clifford, I am absolutely devastated but I am trying to stay strong for Andrew. I hope you will stand with me in praying for him and his safety.

And to make matters worse, waiting another month for the next court date means the legal bills will continue to pile up.

I hate asking for money as I know bills at home are tight with every family, but any amount you can afford will go immediately towards defraying the nearly insurmountable costs Andrew is facing.

I have barely been able to sleep since he was taken prisoner on March 31st, and it is the support, kind words, and prayers from people like yourself that has gotten me this far.

We have to keep Andrew’s story in the news. We cannot let Andrew be forgotten. Please tell your friends and family about Andrew’s story. Click on the image or follow this link to watch the video about Andrew. 

Even though thousands have signed the petition on the White House website, President Obama has yet to take any action to help get Andrew released. From where we sit, the executive branch has totally abandoned him

I will not abandon him, but Clifford, I’m just a mom from Florida. I’m not a diplomat, or an international lawyer, or a strong Marine like my son. I need help to get Andrew out of jail and to bring him home and for that I’m going to need to hire talented lawyers… lawyers that I can’t afford and that our government isn’t willing to provide.
