As the president walked down the aisle for his speech, Marjorie Taylor Greene told Biden, who was just several feet away from the representative, to “make it right” and say Riley’s name. 
Biden at first appeared to avoid interacting with Greene, who was decked out in bright-red MAGA merchandise in support of former President Donald Trump.
But during his address, Biden went off script as Greene heckled him to address Riley and her family.
“Laken Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That’s right,” Biden said, mispronouncing the nursing student’s name as Lincoln.
He then addressed Riley’s parents: “My heart goes out to you, having lost children myself.”
Riley was a nursing student student at the University of Georgia when she was killed while jogging near campus in February. A Venezuelan man who crossed the border illegally in September 2022 was charged with the killing, according to federal officials.

ATLANTA (AP) — President Joe Biden said Saturday that he regretted using the term “illegal” during his State of the Union address to describe the suspected killer of Laken Riley, as his all-but-certain 2024 GOP rival, Donald Trump, blasted the Democrat’s immigration policies and blamed them for her death at a rally attended by the Georgia nursing student’s family and friends.
We tell you what, that any other president would be more than alarmed if this was their daughter, son, granddaughter or grandson who was murdered; illegals coming into the country would be stopped cold in their tracks. But Biden does give one fat f..ck. He only cares about his lying criminal, cocaine addict son.

Progressives Furious at Biden for Describing Laken Riley’s Murder Suspect as ‘Illegal’

Progressive Democrats are furious at President Joe Biden for accurately describing the man suspected of murdering 22-year-old nursing student Laken Riley.
Biden addressed Riley’s death during his State of the Union address Thursday evening after he was heckled by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R., Ga.) and misstated her name in the process.
“Lincoln (sic) Riley, an innocent young women who was killed by an illegal, that’s right,” Biden said while holding up a pin with her name on it. {snip}
Progressive lawmakers led by Representative Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) objected to Biden’s description of Riley’s murder suspect as an “illegal,” despite the factual accuracy of Biden’s statement.
“Let me be clear: No human being is illegal,” Omar said on X.

Representatives Chuy Garcia (D., Ill.) and Joaquin Castro (D., Texas.) joined Omar Thursday night in criticizing the president for his rhetoric.
