Yesterday. March 15, 2019, two mosques in Christchurch were attacked by an armed man; 49 people were killed. The accused perpetrator of the attack is an Australian white supremacist who intended to show “immigration and increasing population of Muslims in NZ”.

The white supremacist who live streamed himself murdering 49 people in two mosque attacks in New Zealand – the worst in the country’s history – claims he was inspired by Black conservative activist Candace Owens.

Brenton Tarrant, 28, was one of three men arrested by police in the devastating attack. He credited Owens for radicalizing him in a 74-page manifesto that he posted online. The manifesto was reported on by several major global news outlets, but not yet verified by police on Friday. Law enforcement officials say Tarrant opened fire inside the Masjid Al Noor mosque in Christchurch, NZ, killing 49 people and wounding dozens more.

Back drop: In November 2016, Mohammad Anwar Sahib, the Imam of the Al-Taqwa mosque in Manukau, Auckland and a religious adviser to the FIANZ, drew controversy when he made offensive remarks about Jews, Christians, and women in a series of speeches that were posted by the blogger Cameron Slater on YouTube.

There is a common underlying pattern here, like the massacre in Denmark, where Anders Breivik , who on 22 July 2011, killed eight people by detonating a van bomb amid Regjeringskvartalet in Oslo, then shot dead 69 participants of a Workers’ Youth League (AUF) summer camp on the island of Utøya. In July 2012, he was convicted of mass murder, causing a fatal explosion, and terrorism. The fuse is lit by extreme Muslim imams who blame the Jews and Christians for all of the worlds ills. This type of inflammatory jargon can be the recipe for disaster. And seen yesterday it was.

On the day of the attacks, Breivik electronically distributed a compendium of texts entitled 2083: A European Declaration of Independence, describing his militant ideology. In them, he stated his opposition to Islam and blamed feminism for a European “cultural suicide.” The text called for the deportation of all Muslims from Europe and Breivik wrote that his main motive for the attacks was to publicize his manifesto.
