The South Carolina senator called the proposal “evil” in a statement to Fox News.
The California State Assembly passed legislation Friday that would require judges in child custody cases to consider whether a parent has affirmed a child’s belief that they are transgender.
AB 957 originally proposed that courts deciding custody cases must consider whether each parent were gender-affirming of the child in question. An amendment in June added to the state’s standard of what constitutes parental responsibility for child welfare, requiring that parents must be affirming of a child’s gender identity if they are to be judged fit for providing for “the health, safety, and welfare of the child” in a court of law.
“The radical Left is on a mission to make parents less important. They think your kids belong to them,” Scott added. “I will fight back, put parents back in charge, and protect the next generation of children from this absurdity.”
Last month, Scott announced a plan that he said will empower parents and protect school children from the “classroom to the locker room to the smartphone.”
MSNBC did a sympathetic interview with a transgender sorority member from the University of Wyoming, after the student was accused of “peeping” on girls, photographing them and asking them about their sex lives and genitals, according to allegations in a lawsuit.
Artemis Langford is a transgender student – a biological male – who joined the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority chapter last October. Girls came forward in a suit in March expressing their discomfort with sharing living quarters with Langford.
The left-wing network’s host, Yasmin Vossoughian, interviewed Langford Sunday and suggested that the trans sorority member’s story was about a lack of acceptance among the girls in the sorority. Vossoughian called Langford a “brave woman.”
“From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs“ is the Socialist message of Marx and all Democrats who believe the “free lunch is actually free.”
The Post reports of an incident where Lemieux was photographed this week exiting the school dressed in the breasts and wig, went briefly shopping at a department store, went home, and then emerged wearing “men’s sweatpants, trainers, a gray T-shirt and a navy puffer vest without breasts, makeup, glasses or wig.”
Lemieux’s neighbor said of the teacher’s school attire, “You can see the breasts from so far away when you’re driving.”
“He put the whole outfit on and just walked up and down Guelph Line — no bags, just walking. Everyone slows down because you can’t believe what they’re seeing,” the neighbor added.
One Twitter user wrote, “No surprise here. As we predicted months ago, ‘kayla lemieux’ is not trans, he’s just a pervert. And what he’s doing is 100% sexual harassment. I look forward to the day when female students and staff file suit against the school board.”
“As a result of the rules, teachers and school librarians or library media specialists have been compelled to self-censor out of fear of losing their job – or worse, being subjected to criminal allegations – simply for trying to provide a safe learning environment for all students,” the Florida Education Association said in a statement last week after announcing that it was suing the Florida Department of Education for the way the law is being implemented.
The unions are slated to take a similarly aggressive approach to the 2024 campaign, viewing the two front-running GOP candidates – DeSantis and former President Donald Trump – as legitimate threats to the public education system in the U.S. in a post-pandemic moment when enrollment is declining, students are facing academic setbacks and unprecedented mental health challenges, teachers are leaving the profession due to low morale and low pay, and the pipeline of aspiring teachers is dwindling.
The expansion of policies that allow families to use taxpayer dollars to cover tuition at private schools and other education expenses – programs like education savings accounts, vouchers and tax credit scholarships – is also driving much of their concern. Dozens of states are considering legislation to expand such offerings, and earlier this year Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed into law major legislation that will allow families across the state to use nearly $8,000 in taxpayer money to support tuition at private schools.
We have seen this play one to many times, the perpetrator goes free, the victim is blamed. This is one big travesty of justice. One look at todays landscape you will find over a hundred thousand victims suffering for crimes committed by thugs, gang bangers, ANTIFA anarchists, criminal elements of society (you know who they are) and the list goes on and on.
But now it has reached a tipping point. The weaponization of our justice department, CIA, FBI has taken it too far. The Guilty are never charged, the innocent have the book thrown at them. Democrat thugs never prosecuted, Republican innocents are always prosecuted. Case in point Senator Ted Stevens of Alaska, prosecuted for a crimes – 7 felony charges – he didn’t commit; finally dismissed for prosecutorial misconduct by the FBI and crooked prosecutors. Give credit to Eric Holder (yes true) for admonishing the prosecutors for withholding exculpatory evidence.
And how about the case of Virginia Governor Bob McDowell. On January 21, 2014, McDonnell and his wife were indicted on federal corruption charges. The charges followed a months-long federal investigation into gifts McDonnell received from a political donor. McDonnell said in a 2017 interview that prosecutors threatened his children to be careful of conversations with their parents lest the children be charged with obstruction of justice. He was convicted of honest services wire fraud, obtaining property under color of official right, and extortion under color of official right. On January 6, 2015, Judge Spencer sentenced the former governor to two years in prison, followed by two years’ supervised release. The Supreme Court heard oral arguments on the case on April 27, 2016, and unanimously vacated McDonnell’s conviction on June 27, holding that the trial court’s construction of the statutory term “official act” was too broad, encompassing activities such as setting up meetings, hosting parties and calling Virginia officials to discuss Williams’s business. After reviewing the Supreme Court decision and the response of the original prosecution team, which wanted to retry the case, the Justice Department announced on September 8, 2016, it would move to dismiss all charges against McDonnell and his wife.
Now that brings us to TRUMP. As the preceding examples indicate a vicious prosecution of Republicans by Democrat prosecutors with the FBI colluding to convict innocent politicians, who by the way lost their Senate and Gubernatorial seats respectively shows the malice of the imbedded Democrat machine throughout the Swamp.
