If we can’t know where Garland is ultimately heading in his probe of Jan. 6 and the documents seized from Mar-a-Lago, all indications are that he is preparing the ground for an indictment of Donald J. Trump.
The former president is inflammatory and mendacious as a matter of course, but in this case, it is the mild-mannered former judge who came a hair’s breadth from a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court who is rehearsing for the role of arsonist.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee asked the White House, FBI, and DOJ on Monday to preserve all documents and communications about the search of former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
“The FBI’s unprecedented raid of President Trump’s residence is a shocking escalation of the Biden Administration’s weaponization of law-enforcement resources against its political opponents,” the 18 Republicans wrote. “The American people deserve transparency and accountability from our most senior law-enforcement officials in the executive branch. We will settle for nothing but your complete cooperation with our inquiry.”

Former President Donald Trump on Sunday called for the Justice Department to return the reams of documents FBI agents seized at his Mar-a-Lago resort last week, pointing to a report that said the information was covered by attorney-client or executive privilege.
“Oh great! It has just been learned that the FBI, in its now famous raid of Mar-a-Lago, took boxes of privileged ‘attorney-client’ material, and also ‘executive’ privileged material, which they knowingly should not have taken,” Trump said on his Truth Social site.
“By copy of this TRUTH, I respectfully request that these documents be immediately returned to the location from which they were taken. Thank you!,” the former president said in the posting.
But let us be clear here, “lock her up” said, “didn’t know those documents were Top Secret. She got a pass. And Hunter Biden and his Criminal father,
why no investigation of him? A call to arms moment has arrived. Justice cannot be a one way street. These people need to be accountable. Republican RHINOs better understand the people’s wrath here. We want blood now.
This Illegal Search and Seizure must be addressed by the Supreme Court. As the FISA warrants were compromised by False Information which was created by those working for Clinton and shoved to the FISA court under the auspices of the Lying FBI Cohorts, this Breaking and Entering into Mar-a-Lago must be adjudicated by the highest court in the land. Questions arise on what information they had, who gave them the information and why now?

Mary Miller (R-Ill.) tweeted, “If TODAY the FBI does not raid the homes of the Biden family members who took payments from Chinese communist officials, Moscow officials, and Ukrainian officials while holding ‘10% for the Big Guy,’ then we have conclusive proof of two systems of justice.”

More than 30 FBI agents, armed with a search warrant issued by a federal magistrate from West Palm Beach, are reported to have entered Trump’s private residence and offices at his Mar-a-Lago club. According to NBC News, they stayed on site most of the day.
Once the operation was under way, the FBI placed a call to Eric Trump, the former president’s son, who according to the account he gave to Sean Hannity on Fox News on Monday night was the one who, in turn, broke the news to his father. At the time, father and son were in Trump Tower in Manhattan, where the former president is preparing to be deposed in a civil lawsuit brought by New York state relating to his company’s financial bookkeeping.
Eric Trump portrayed the search to Hannity in terms as lurid as those deployed by his father. “They started ransacking an office, ransacking a closet,” he said. “They broke into a safe! He didn’t have anything in the safe.”
More details will have to emerge before Eric Trump’s description can be assessed for accuracy. It will also take time for a full picture to be gleaned of the FBI’s reasoning behind its actions, and whether that meets the exceptionally high bar needed to justify the first such raid in US history on the residence of a former president.
Within hours of the news erupting, Trump, his family and inner circle, and a slew of top Republicans across the country had begun assailing the Biden administration and what they called the “weaponized Department of Justice” for trying to thwart another presidential bid by Trump in 2024. Garland, had a hair up his ass because he was given the boot by Mitch McConnell. His nomination to the Supreme Court was shelved during the Obama administration’s remaining months. Because of this, Garland became vicious, a drooling dog on the loose. Biden, then chose him for attorney General – from that time on he had one goal in mind, to take Trump down, in the words of Waters. “to take him out tonight.”

FBI agents scoured Melania Trump’s wardrobe and spent several hours combing through Donald Trump’s private office, breaking open his safe and rifling through drawers when they raided the former First Family’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida Monday morning.
The Post has learned that the search warrant used by the FBI to enter the palatial Palm Beach property focused solely on presidential records and evidence of classified information being stored there.
A source close to the former president expressed concern that FBI agents or DOJ lawyers conducting the search could have “planted stuff” because they would not allow Trump’s attorneys inside the 128-room building to observe the operation, which lasted more than nine hours.
The raid by over 30 plain clothes agents from the Southern District of Florida and the FBI’s Washington Field Office extended through the Trump family’s entire 3,000-square-foot private quarters, as well as to a separate office and safe, and a locked basement storage room in which 15 cardboard boxes of material from the White House were stored.

The FBI raided Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida and broke into a safe in his palatial home, the former president confirmed Monday.
Trump said in a message on his social media forum Truth Social that his home had been “raided, and occupied” and was “currently under siege.”
FBI agents were reportedly searching for classified documents that Trump allegedly brought with him from the White House to Mar-a-Lago after his presidency ended — which, if true, could be a violation of federal law.
The National Archives and Records Administration said it had found classified material in 15 boxes at the residence earlier this year and alerted the FBI. The agents executed a search warrant Monday to look for additional presidential records Trump may have relocated to his Florida estate.
“Nothing like this has ever happened to a President of the United States before,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
