I’m a 60-year-old conservative black man and I just got off the phone with my liberal 70-year-old brother. Our conversation was about race, as it often is. My brother insists that the problems of the black race are the result of structure, while I maintain that it’s largely culture. He says that slavery is to blame for the state of black America and the way blacks behave. I tell him that’s nonsense. Though there were many structural barriers that limited black upward mobility for many years, those unfair obstacles have all been eliminated in the last half-century, and today, the sky’s the limit for us if we want to progress. There are zero structural impediments to our advancement. I told him that we blacks need to adopt conservative principles such as valuing education, marrying before having children, shunning degenerate behavior, respecting authority, etc. These values would propel the black race forward if we practiced them, but like my older brother, so many blacks claim America is a racist country that will never let us succeed. Unfortunately, many blacks think this way, believing that the white man has a diabolical plan to destroy us.

According to their twisted logic, the white man makes blacks sucker punch 90-year-old women, gang rape a 13-year-old girls, rob and murder elderly veterans, rob strangers, commit arson, shoot over 100 people in Chicago over the course of a weekend, etc. They maintain the white man set up Bill Cosby, O.J. Simpson, and many other blacks. I also told my brother, among other things, that it’s a disgrace that in this day and age many of us still can’t speak proper English. Of course, he insists that’s also because of the white man!

Today, these same cretins are threatening the Justices in their homes. They will accept no for an answer on turning Roe v Wade back. But there is a large fissure between how DOJ applies the law to left wing revolutionaries to those who protested on January 6. At least 31 people were shot, including six fatally, in Chicago over the past weekend, officials said on Monday morning.

In the latest fatal shooting, a woman who was not identified was shot and killed in the West Lawn neighborhood on Sunday night at around 7:35 p.m., officials told ABC and the Chicago Sun-Times. Two females were arguing on the sidewalk of South Kilbourn Avenue when a male suspect approached them and fired several shots, hitting the woman in the head and body. The woman was later pronounced dead at the Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

(Kitco News) The crypto space faced another sharp selloff during the weekend as Bitcoin plunged below $18,000 and Ethereum dropped below $900.

The overall crypto market cap plummeted to $847 billion, down nearly 10% on the day. Bitcoin touched $17,677, the lowest level since November 2020, and Ethereum fell to a low of $893, the level last seen in January 2021.

“Bitcoin appears to be hanging on for dear life as cryptocurrencies remain in meltdown mode. The worst week since the early days of the COVID pandemic has widespread crashes across Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin,” said OANDA senior market analyst Edward Moya.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin was at $18,633, down 74% from its November all-time high of $69,000, and Ethereum was at $948, down 81% from its November all-time high of $4,878.

The initial trigger behind the massive crypto drop in June was the macro environment. First, a surprising hot inflation number from May caught markets off guard, followed by a 75-basis-point hike from the Federal Reserve on Wednesday – the biggest rate increase since 1994.

Gradually, as a result of the debasement of paper money from ever-increasing inflation of the money supply, silver coins were driven out of circulation. Today, while Americans are once again permitted to own gold (at least for now), the official money of the American people remains paper money, notwithstanding the express terms of the Constitution.

With his gold-confiscation scheme, FDR taught Americans a valuable lesson: Emergencies and crises are the time-honored way that people are induced to sacrifice their rights and liberties at the hands of their own government.

Hillary Clinton shut down any speculation that she might run for president again in 2024, calling such a campaign “out of the question.”

Clinton sat down for an interview with the Financial Times in which she discussed her own political career, the Biden presidency, former President Donald Trump, and the 2024 presidential race.

Clinton said that the most important issue moving forward was the next election, trumping any other social or economic policy debate. She called the prospect of a Republican president in 2024 “so frightening” that anything does not help Democrats win a non-priority.

“We are standing on the precipice of losing our democracy, and everything that everybody else cares about then goes out the window,” Clinton said. “Look, the most important thing is to win the next election. The alternative is so frightening that whatever does not help you win should not be a priority.”
