ABC News will pay $15 million as a charitable contribution to a Trump presidential foundation and museum

ABC News and star anchor George Stephanopoulos have agreed to pay President-elect Trump $16 million to settle a defamation lawsuit.

The settlement was publicly filed Saturday, just days before the two sides were set to sit for depositions in the case.

ABC News agreed to pay a $15 million donation to a “Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for [Trump], as Presidents of the United States of America have established in the past,” along with $1 million for Trump’s attorney fees, according to the settlement. 

ABC News and Stephanopoulos also would issue statements expressing their “regret” to the online article version of the anchor’s March interview that prompted Trump to file the federal lawsuit earlier this year, the settlement noted.

Today’s first class stamp cost $.73. A decade ago there cost was $.44, an 88.6% increase. In his first campaign, President Trump had his eyes on the USPS. Today, the USPS is subject to the same scrutiny. After all, why wouldn’t it be. They lose Ten Billion a year, certainly not a first class stamp.

Now that we are in the midst of a second Trump term, the focus has turned once again to USPS. Currently, the team of Elon and Vivek, are bringing new attention to the postal service. With these two Butchers on board we expect them “TO GO POSTAL” in cutting the fat to the bone. Can’t wait for this to happen.

There is something wrong those who criticize Ms. Clark. What has she done to deserve harsh words thrown her way? Oh, oh, we forgot that she is White and has privilege – even she admits it. But others have no right to flagrantly attack her on the court.

The latest diatribe against Ms. Clark comes from the co-owner of the Washington Mystics, who took issue with Clark being named the “Athlete of the Year.” Sheila Johnson said, “by chosing Clark, it could bring division among players.”

In actuality, people like her, by barking up the wrong tree, can prevoke animosity among players. This in turn will cause backlash on the court, possibly leading to Clark being a target of competitors and perhaps her own teammates.

Time magazine to name Trump ‘Person of the Year’

He was also recognized in 2016.

Donald Trump is expected to be named Time magazine’s “Person of the Year” — and to celebrate the unveiling of the cover, the president-elect will ring the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday morning, according to three people familiar with the plans granted anonymity because they were not authorized to divulge the plans.

Last year, pop superstar Taylor Swift was recognized. To mark the magazine cover reveal, Time CEO Jessica Sibley rang the opening bell.

Trump was also named Time Person of the Year in 2016 after he won the presidential election. He joins 13 other U.S. presidents who have received the recognition, including President Joe Biden.

A short list for Time Person of the Year was announced Monday on NBC’s “The Today Show” and included Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris, Kate Middleton, Elon Musk and Benjamin Netanyahu.

Time already announced NBA star Caitlin Clark as Athlete of the Year, Elton John as Icon of the Year and Lisa Su of Advanced Micro Devices as CEO of the Year.

A spokesperson for Time said the magazine “does not comment on its annual choice for Person of the Year prior to publication. This year’s choice will be announced tomorrow morning, Dec. 12, on Time.com.”

The incoming president has long been fixated with being on the covers of magazines, especially Time.

The “Person of the Year” goes to a newsmaker who has had a significant impact on the year’s events, and in the past has included people ranging from Winston Churchill and Queen Elizabeth II to Vladimir Putin and Joseph Stalin.

Daniel Penny got justice — now give DA Alvin Bragg the boot

In a watershed moment for common sense, and against the soft-on-crime lunacy that plagues this city, a Manhattan jury on Monday acquitted Daniel Penny in the May 2023 death of Jordan Neely.

New Yorkers, rejoice: There’s hope for this town after all.

The “progressive” insistence that Penny was a vile vigilante, not a hero who stood up to protect his fellow straphangers from a threatening madman, has been rejected by a jury of his peers.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s effort to persecute Perry failed — and Bragg may, should, pay the ultimate political price for trying.

Bravo to the jurors, especially those who’d supported “guilty” on the more serious manslaughter charge — which the judge and prosecutors outrageously dropped on Friday, rather than accept a mistrial — but joined in a “not guilty” consensus after that blatant violation of the defendant’s rights.

This was the just outcome of a Kafkaesque ordeal: Penny never should’ve been dragged into court in the first place.

But Bragg did it anyway, playing to his hard-left, race-obsessed base.

Bragg’s prosecutors also pounded the race card relentlessly at trial, routinely calling Perry “the white man” and imputing racist motives to his actions, even as witness after witness confirmed that the entire car was terrified by Neely’s behavior on that F train.

In acquitting Penny, the jury resoundingly rejected Bragg’s progressive pro-crime agenda, which has turned Gotham into a playground for recidivist criminals and an open-air psychiatric ward for the mentally unwell.

The people harmed most by this madness are the very communities that progressives claim to want to help: low-income, minority New Yorkers.

Daniel Penny is the Bernard Getz of today. The charges brought against him were politically motivated. Penny did society a favor, saving lives of the innocent, from a maniac.

Alvin Bragg has let criminals run rampant in the Big Apple, but the hero, in this case is charged with murder. The jury rendered the only verdict warranted.
