LIBTARD JUDGE LOWERS BAIL FOR ILLEGAL ALIEN COP KILLER

An illegal immigrant accused of killing a Washington state trooper in a crash earlier this year had his bail dropped from $1 million to $100,000 by a state judge last week.

Raul Benitez Santana, 32, is currently being held at the Snohomish County Jail on charges of vehicular assault and vehicular homicide involving alcohol or drugs in connection to the death of 27-year-old Washington State Patrol Trooper Christopher M. Gadd in March.

Santana was initially held on $1 million bail, but online jail records on Wednesday show his bail was reduced to $100,000.

Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Richard Okrent lowered Santana’s bail on May 15 after Santana’s defense attorneys argued for his release, the Everett Herald reported.

INDIAN CITIZEN KILLED 16 CANADIANS FIGHTS DEPORTATION DECISION

Nadine Yousif, BBC News, Toronto

The lorry driver behind a 2018 fatal crash with a bus carrying a junior ice hockey team has been ordered deported from Canada.

Jaskirat Singh Sidhu, who is originally from India, was released on full parole last year after being sentenced to eight years in prison for dangerous driving.

Sixteen people were killed and 13 injured when the lorry collided with the hockey team bus on a rural road in Saskatchewan.

Sidhu’s lawyer told the BBC that he plans to fight the deportation order.

Lawyer Michael Greene said the order, which came on Friday morning at an Immigration and Refugee Board hearing in Calgary, was not a surprise as Sidhu is not a citizen of Canada.

Sidhu grew up on a farm in India and moved to Canada in 2013.

“He is a permanent resident who has been convicted of a serious offence,” Mr Greene said.

But he said he will fight to keep Sidhu in Canada on humanitarian and compassionate grounds.

“He couldn’t be more remorseful,” the lawyer said. “He is still plagued by this every day of his life.”

Ten players on the Humboldt Broncos ice hockey team, aged between 16 and 21, died when their team bus collided with the semi-trailer that Sidhu was driving.

Support staff and the team’s head and assistant coaches were also among those killed.

A number of players survived the crash but were left with life-altering injuries.

In 2019, Sidhu pleaded guilty to 16 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and 13 of causing injury.

It was found that he had ran through a stop sign before colliding with the bus.

Some families of the victims have called for Sidhu to be deported.

In a statement to CTV News in Calgary on Friday, Toby Boulet, whose son Logan died in the crash, said he and his wife were “thankful for the decision” to deport Sidhu.

New York Mayor Eric Adams will participate in the much-anticipated Jerusalem Post Annual Conference in New York City amid rising tensions surrounding the Israel-Hamas war in the city.

A dedicated public servant, Mayor Eric Adams was elected as the 110th mayor of New York City in 2021. As mayor, he continues to champion the city’s diverse communities and is a vocal supporter of the Jewish community and Israel.

The conference, which will take place on June 3 in New York City, promises to be of paramount importance, especially given the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict and the broader turmoil in the Middle East. This year’s gathering is expected to attract diplomats, politicians, and business leaders, with Mayor Adams being one of the most fascinating faces.

A steadfast supporter of Israel and the Jewish community, Mayor Adams’ participation is particularly significant in light of the ongoing conflict and the rising concerns about antisemitism in New York, which, despite showing a short dip in numbers in November, has begun to steadily rise again, with dozens of new cases reported by the NYPD over the course of March and April.

New York City has the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, and Mayor Adams has consistently expressed his solidarity with the community.

FOLLOW THE MONEY

Several questions are in order for the World Bank. If the P.A. is in such dire need of funding, why not go after the bank accounts of the Hamas leaders -Ismail Haniyeh – Yahya Sinwar, Arafat’s widow and Mamoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority? For they have milked the world for billions, maybe trillions of dollars. The money they have amassed will keep their bank accounts flowing for a thousand years.

US professor deported for terror ties shares stage with Hamas officials in Istanbul

Turkish capital hosts ‘Hamas festival,’ with clerics and political leaders praising the October 7 massacre and openly expressing anti-Jewish bigotry.

Sami Al-Arian, an academic deported from the US a couple of decades ago after pleading guilty to providing services to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), shared a stage in a panel discussion with a high-ranking member of the terror organization Hamas, Jamal Issa, during a conference held in Istanbul last week.

The conference was titled “The Flood of the Free” as a homage to Hamas’s October 7 massacre, named by the radical terror group “Flood of Al-Aqsa,” with the conference logo featuring two paragliders referring to the terrorists who paraglided into Israeli communities on their bloodthirsty quest to murder, rape and kidnap over 1200 Israelis and foreigners on October 7.

Other senior Hamas members also took part in other sessions during the two-day event, including Osama Hamdan, Sami Abu Zuhri, as well as Khaled Meshaal, who sent a pre-recorded blessing to the conference.

REMEMBER THOSE WHO PARISHED ON MEMORIAL DAY, FOR THEY GAVE THE ULTIMATE

MEMORIAL DAY – WHEN THE TRUE HERO IS REMEMBERED

Americans celebrate Memorial Day, but on this fitting occasion it is important to remember and give tribute to those who have perished in our defense. They gave the ultimate sacrifice, their life, so we can live in liberty.

So this weekend, with the parades coming down Main Street, the bands playing the Battle Hymn, Yankee Doodle Dandy,  God Bless America and the Star Spangled Banner, please remember those who are not here to witness the America they defended with valor and courage.

Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis appeals after judge drops multiple Trump charges

Trump’s legal team has appealed to have Willis removed from the case due to her relationship with special prosecutor Nathan Wade

The prosecutor in former President Donald Trump’s racketeering case in Georgia is appealing a judge’s decision to drop multiple charges against the former commander in chief.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee previously ruled in March that six charges against Trump and his co-defendants lacked sufficient detail and should be dismissed.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis filed a notice of appeal against that decision on Thursday. The prosecutor did not indicate why the dismissal should be reversed.

Three of the six counts set to be dropped include Trump as a defendant. The original indictment included 41 counts between the former president and his co-defendants.

Trump’s legal team is appealing to remove Willis from the case following allegations that she had an “improper” affair with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, whom she hired to help prosecute the case.

McAfee ruled that the romantic relationship between the two prosecutors did not compromise the integrity of the trial, though a Georgia appeals court has agreed to hear an appeal on this decision.

OUR CHOICE FOR V.P. NEW YORK’S ELISE STEFANIK

We have repeatedly posted on Elise Stefanik. She staccato questions her adversaries with verve. She is the type of V.P. who can carry out the duties of President if need be. However, in 2031,  that is if Trump decides not to run, she can carry on the Torch for eight more years.

Elise Marie Stefanik is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for New York’s 21st congressional district. As chair of the House Republican Conference since 2021, she is the fourth-ranking House Republican.

Editor’s note: This is the third in a series of profiles of potential running mates for presidential candidate Donald Trump on the 2024 Republican Party ticket.

A potential name on former President Trump’s running mate shortlist is being described by political insiders as a “powerhouse” that could bring a major boost to his chances at retaking the White House.

The horse race among those hoping to be named Trump’s running mate continued this week with the names widely believed to be on the shortlist making the rounds on various media outlets and at public events to praise the former president, including House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik of New York, who some say has a certain “attractiveness” for the role.

Stefanik gained national attention in December 2023 for her intense questioning of university presidents during a widely televised U.S. congressional hearing on antisemitism. Some have credited Stefanik with contributing to the resignation of Liz Magill, the president of the University of Pennsylvania.

Initially elected as a moderate conservative, Stefanik has moved considerably towards the right, as she aligned herself with the then-President Donald Trump.
