Eric Zemmour will soon be a candidate for the April 2022 French presidential election.He isn’t an official candidate yet but there is no doubt that he will eventually declare. He is one of the most famous journalists in France, and is well known in Switzerland, Belgium, and other French-speaking countries. He has portrayed himself as a truth-teller in a news media dominated by timid, left-leaning journalists.
Mr. Zemmour wrote his first book on politics in 1986, and became a TV commentator in 1995. For 27 years, and despite several changes of TV programs (he has been fired over and over for his political views), he has been constantly in the mainstream media.
His positions are almost all controversial:
He criticizes Islam, the Great Replacement, the colonization of France by foreigners, and has referred to non-white “scum.”
He recognizes the existence of races (this is unusual in France).
He speaks of French politicians of the last 40 years as “traitors.”
He believes that Marshal Pétain (head of the Vichy regime under Nazi Germany) saved French Jews in exchange for handing over foreign Jews.
He says there is a competition between Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews over who has been most persecuted and therefore worthier.
He is the only European politician who has called the current pope “anti-white.”
He argues that racial profiling is normal, and that if blacks are stopped twice as often as whites by the police, it is because they are twice likely to be criminals.
It has been a very long time since so much truth has been spoken in France. In fewer than 150 days, France could have an explicitly pro-white president, far different from Donald Trump. In a very large field of a dozen candidates, he has polled as high as second place, but has lately dropped back to third or perhaps fourth.

(click)Last month, television star Jussie Smollett was treated for scratches on his face after an alleged racist and anti-gay attack in Chicago. Different sources reported different details, but one commonly reported detail was that two suspects asked him, “Aren’t you that f***ot Empire n***er?” Then he was supposedly attacked with bleach and a rope. The suspects allegedly yelled, “This is MAGA country!”
In an age of hate hoaxes, many people took this report skeptically. The idea of people in Chicago screaming about “MAGA country” is self-discrediting. Another problem with Mr. Smollett’s story was that he was supposedly recognized on the street at two in the morning by racist right-wingers who were also familiar with the show Empire. (I didn’t know about the existence of either Empire or Mr. Smollett until the alleged attack, and I assume the same about most people who voted for Trump.) The weapon of choice was also strange for a frigid Chicago night well below bleach’s freezing temperature.
The story’s details kept changing, but Mr. Smollett’s behavior was consistently bizarre. Mr. Smollett reportedly refused to let police examine his phone. He also walked into his apartment building wearing a rope around his neck and didn’t notify police immediately. Despite his claim that “I fought the f**k back!” against two attackers, the rather effete Mr. Smollett still managed to hold on to a Subway sandwich he purchased before the alleged incident.
This reads like ludicrous fan fiction. Yet the most powerful and influential people in our society, from the Speaker of the House of Representatives to Hollywood celebrities, declared this attack not only legitimate, but of huge moral importance. What’s more, they insisted that the incident must be used to inspire political and cultural activism.

Ilhan Omar
Omar was born in Mogadishu, Somalia, in October 1982. According to the biography posted on her own website, she lived there for around eight years before her family fled to a refugee camp in Kenya, moving to the United States four years later, and eventually settling in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis in 1997.
In a 2018 interview with the Intercept website’s “Deconstructed” podcast, Omar said she became a naturalized U.S. citizen before she turned 18 years old, explaining that, “My father became a citizen and so I got my citizenship through that process.”
In the same interview, she said her family resettled in the U.S. in 1995. Since a would-be naturalized citizen must first live in the U.S. as a permanent resident for five years, 2000 would be the earliest year in which Omar’s father (and Omar herself) could become citizens. Since Omar was born in October 1982, she turned 18 in October 2000. So, based on the sequence of events presented by Omar, it appears she became a U.S. citizen at the age of 17, some time between January and October 2000 —
Although Omar’s account makes sense, and we found no substantive dispute over it, we were unable to locate any official documentation that supports that version of events. We asked Omar’s spokesperson and district director to provide any official documentation that would confirm the date of her naturalization, but we received no such evidence.
The Congresswoman’s spokesperson reiterated that she became a U.S. citizen in 2000, and pointed out that an individual cannot be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives without demonstrating citizenship, but the spokesperson did not have Omar’s “personal government documents.”
Until and unless evidence of that nature becomes available to us, definitively establishing that Omar became a U.S. citizen in 2000 she has pull off one of the greatest cons in history.

At the very least, a busy lady — one with a fondness for guys named Ahmed.
Conservative Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) traded angry statements Monday, with Boebert accusing Omar of cutting off a phone call meant to smooth things over between the pair after video emerged of the Colorado Republican joking that her colleague had been mistaken for a terrorist by a Capitol Hill police officer.
The drama began on Thanksgiving Day, when an anonymous Twitter account posted video of Boebert telling a story about being in an elevator with Omar when an officer rushed toward them.
“I said, ‘Well, she [Omar] doesn’t have a backpack, we should be fine,’” Boebert joked to laughter and a smattering of applause from her audience.
On Friday, Boebert tweeted: “I apologize to anyone in the Muslim community I offended with my comment about Rep. Omar. I have reached out to her office to speak with her directly. There are plenty of policy differences to focus on without this unnecessary distraction.”
On Monday, Omar said in a statement that she had spoken with Boebert earlier in the day “in the hope of receiving a direct apology for falsely claiming she met me in an elevator, suggesting I was a terrorist, and for a history of anti-Muslim hate.
“Instead of apologizing for her Islamophobic comments and fabricated lies,” Omar went on, “Rep. Boebert refused to publicly acknowledge her hurtful and dangerous comments. She instead doubled down on her rhetoric and I decided to end the unproductive call. I believe in engaging with those we disagree with respectfully, but not when that disagreement is rooted in outright bigotry and hate.”
Boebert posted a video statement on social media shortly after the call in which she rebuffed Omar’s demand for a public apology, arguing that her Friday statement was sufficient.

“Now as a strong, Christian woman who values faith deeply, I never want anything I say to offend someone’s religion,” the Republican said. “So I told her that. Even after I put out a public statement to that effect, she said that she still wanted a public apology because what I had done wasn’t good enough. So I reiterated to her what I had just said.”
“She kept asking for a public apology, so I told Ilhan Omar that she should make a public apology to the American people for her anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-police rhetoric,” Boebert went on. “She continued to press and I continued to press back. And then, Representative Omar hung up on me.”
Omar concluded her statement by accusing House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) of failing to discipline Republican members for what she described as “repeated instances of anti-Muslim hate and harassment.”
“This is not about one hateful statement or one politician; it is about a party that has mainstreamed bigotry and hatred,” Omar said. “It is time for Republican Leader McCarthy to actually hold his party accountable.”
In a statement Friday, six members of House Democratic leadership called Boebert’s comments about Omar “deeply offensive and concerning.”
“This language and behavior are far beneath the standard of integrity, dignity and decency with which the Constitution and our constituents require that we act in the House. We call upon Congresswoman Boebert to fully retract these comments and refrain from making similar ones going forward,” continued the statement by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.), Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC), Assistant Speaker Katherine Clark (D-Mass.), Caucus Chairman Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) and Caucus Vice Chair Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.).

The WHO has followed the Greek alphabet when labeling certain variants of the coronavirus. But the newest variant is named omicron, skipping two letters.
CLAIM: The World Health Organization has labeled the new strain the “omicron” variant, skipping over “nu” and “xi” without explanation.
THE FACTS: The WHO on Friday gave the name “omicron” to a new variant of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. The agency also deemed it a “ variant of concern.”
Omicron was first reported to the U.N. health agency by scientists in South Africa and has been identified in several other countries as well, The Associated Press has reported.
The WHO has followed the Greek alphabet when labeling certain variants of the virus, SARS-CoV-2, since May. It said the system allows for variants to be referred to in a simpler way than by their scientific names, and that it helps prevent people from referring to variants by the location where they were detected and creating stigma.
Many people had expected the agency to label the latest variant nu, which comes after mu, a variant designated on Aug. 30.
Instead, the WHO skipped over nu as well as xi, the next Greek letter in line — a move that many users on social media pointed out, while some questioned whether it was to avoid offending Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
In a statement provided to the AP, the WHO said it skipped nu for clarity and xi to avoid causing offense generally.
