JACK CIATTARELLI ON THE VERGE TO BE NEXT NJ GOVERNOR IN THE “TAX THE RICH” STATE OF LIBERALISM

Incumbent Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy narrowly trailed Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli heading into Wednesday morning with ballots — many of them vote-by-mail — in Democratic-rich areas yet to be counted.

With nearly 89% of precincts reporting early Wednesday morning, Ciattarelli held a tenuous lead in the contest to decide the next governor — 49.9% of the vote compared to Murphy’s 49.4%, according to The Associated Press.

In addition to the uncounted ballots, there were also about 700,000 early and mail-in votes to tally.

WHY AREN’T THE VOTES COUNTED BY NOW?

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/vote-new-jersey-next-governor-jack-ciatterelli

What would you say to a governor who told you, “If you don’t like paying high taxes, you should pick up your family and your small business and leave the state?” Well, if you live in New Jersey, that’s exactly what Gov. Phil Murphy suggested you do. He told the highest-taxed people in America to deal with it or get out.

No governor from New Jersey – one who truly understood our residents – would ever say that. Murphy is tone deaf and out of touch. He’s not one of us. He’s not New Jersey. He’s an extreme liberal transplant from Massachusetts.

NEW JERSEY GOVERNOR’S RACE: WHAT TO KNOW

My story is a New Jersey story. It’s where my grandparents immigrated from Italy 100 years ago. It’s where I was born and raised. It’s where I went to school. Where I became a CPA. It’s where my wife Melinda and I raised our four children. It’s where I started two successful Main Street businesses and created jobs and opportunities for fellow New Jerseyans (while Murphy was busy making rich people richer on Wall Street).    Jack Ciattarelli: Why I want your vote to become New Jersey's next governor | Fox News

TAKE THIS BIDEN – TAKE THIS PELOSI – TAKE THIS SQUAD – YOUNGKIN WINS IN LANDSLIDE

Youngkin defeats McAuliffe in race for Virginia governor

The Fox News Decision Desk can now project that Republican Glenn Youngkin will win the gubernatorial race in Virginia, defeating former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe in a statewide election with national implications that McAuliffe was once expected to win.
Youngkin ran a disciplined campaign, focusing on taxes, crime, and holding public schools accountable to parents, while McAuliffe spent much of his fire power the past couple of months linking Youngkin to former President Donald Trump.
McAuliffe also nationalized the race, campaigning with President Biden, Vice President Harris, former President Obama, and other top Democrats in an unsuccessful attempt to boost his fortunes.
“Alrighty Virginia, we won this thing,” Youngkin told supporters in his victory speech a little after 1 AM Wednesday.
And he vowed that “together, we will change the trajectory of this commonwealth.”

Two months ago, McAuliffe held a mid-single-digit lead in a state that Biden won by 10 points over then-President Trump just a year ago, but Youngkin erased the former governor’s advantage in the closing stretch of the campaign.

We are also watching the gubernatorial results in the blue state of New Jersey. That contest, between Democratic Gov. Phil Murphy and Republican nominee Jack Ciattarelli, tightened in recent weeks and was too close to project a winner at the time this story was published.

With Virginia’s gubernatorial race considered a key bellwether ahead of next year’s midterm elections, Youngkin’s victory in a state where Republicans hadn’t won statewide in a dozen years will only increase Democratic anxieties as they try to defend their razor-thin House and Senate majorities in 2022.

Youngkin, a first-time candidate and former private equity CEO, won thanks to a wave of Republican voter enthusiasm, and by tapping into the anger of parents over decisions by their local school boards.

NO 1619 HERE

FROM WIKIPEDIA

Virginia celebrated its quadricentennial year in 2007, marking 400 years since the establishment of the Jamestown Colony. The observances highlighted contributions from Native Americans, Africans, and Europeans, each of which had a significant part in shaping Virginia’s history.[85][86] Warfare, including among these groups, has also had an important role. Virginia was a focal point in conflicts from the French and Indian War, the American Revolution and the Civil War, to the Cold War and the War on Terrorism.[87] Fictionalized stories about the early colony, in particular the story of Pocahontas and John Smith, first became popular in the period after the Revolutionary War, and together with other myths surrounding George Washington‘s childhood and the plantation elite in the antebellum period, became touchstones of Virginian and American culture and helped shape the state’s historic politics and beliefs.[88][84]

What was the significance of the year 1619 in the Virginia Colony?
Although English colonists in Virginia did not invent slavery, and the transition from a handful of bound African laborers to a legalized system of full-blown chattel slavery took many decades, 1619 marks the beginning of race-based bondage that defined the African American experience.

BIDEN CAN’T PROTECT HIMSELF – BRINGS LAWSUIT

Texas police officers refused to escort Biden bus, lawsuit alleges: ‘Threatened my life’

San Marcos police ‘privately laughed’ about the incident in 911 audio recordings, the suit alleges

Police officials in Texas refused to escort a Biden campaign bus that was surrounded by Trump supporters last October, an amended lawsuit alleges.

San Marcos police “privately laughed” and “joked about the victims and their distress” in 911 audio recordings, according to the suit. The federal lawsuit was amended late Friday with transcriptions of the 911 recordings.

Video from Oct. 30, 2020, shows a group of cars and pick-up trucks flying Trump 2020 flags driving alongside the Biden campaign bus on a highway, and boxing the bus in at some points. A minor traffic incident also occurred, when a pro-Trump truck made contact with a white SUV accompanying the Biden campaign bus. Both cars continued moving during the incident.

“No, we’re not going to do it,” Daenzer told a 911 dispatcher, according to the amended filing. “We will ‘close patrol’ that, but we’re not going to escort a bus.”

“[T]hey’re like really worked up over it and he’s like breathing hard and stuff, like, ‘they’re being really aggressive.’ Okay. Calm down,” the dispatcher told Daenzer, explaining how the Biden campaign team was feeling during the incident.

Daenzer said the Biden bus should “drive defensively and it’ll be great.”

“Or leave the train,” the 911 dispatcher responded, according to the transcript. “There’s an idea.”

The dispatcher got back on the line with the Biden campaign staff and said no escort would be provided to them from San Marcos.

“If you feel like you’re being threatened or your life is threatened, definitely call us back,” she told him.

“Are you kidding me, ma’am?” the staffer responded, and said “they’ve threatened my life on multiple occasions with vehicular collision.” The staffer then again asked for an escort.

AUSTIN TEXAS – VOTE PROPOSITION A ON TUESDAY – SUPPORT THE POLICE

Austin, Texas, defunded its police department. Now voters will decide if city needs more officers

After police funding cut, rise in violent crime, voters head to polls to decide if city needs more police

Amid nationwide protests seeking police reforms last summer, the Austin, Texas, city council decided to cut about one-third of its police budget – the largest cut of any major city in America.

Councilman Greg Cesar, a progressive who spearheaded the push to cut funding, said the vote offered a moment to “celebrate what the movement has achieved for safety, racial justice and democracy.”

But since the budget cut, Austin has gotten much less safe. According to statistics compiled by the data analysis firm AH Datalytics, the city has seen a nearly 71% increase in homicides over the past year. While homicides have increased nationwide since 2020, Austin’s increase is one of the largest the firm has tracked.

The funding cuts brought with them a series of changes to the Austin Police Department. Cadet classes were canceled, making it more difficult to bring more officers onto the force. Certain specialized units were cut backAttrition soared. By May 2021, police staffing shortages led to a 30% increase in 911 response times.

AUSTIN CITY COUNCIL MEMBER SOUNDS ALARM ON ‘DISASTROUS CONSEQUENCES’ OF DEFUNDING POLICE

“Recently, the Austin Police Department asked the public here to start calling 311 instead of 911 for a host of emergencies and certain crimes, citing, in part, the staffing shortage that they have. They just simply don’t have the manpower,” Lars Trautman, national director of Right on Crime, told Fox News.

In August, the council – under pressure from a rise in violent crime and a new state law that penalizes cities that defund the police – reversed course on its cuts, approving a substantial increase in police funding.

But activists at Save Austin Now think it’s too little, too late. They successfully worked to put a referendum, Proposition A, on the ballot, with a special election set for Tuesday. The measure would require the city to maintain two police officers per 1,000 residents (Austin is currently around 1.6), promote additional training and offer incentives to recruit officers who speak additional languages. Matt Mackowiak, Chair of the Travis County Republican Party and founder of Save Austin Now, the group behind Prop A

“People here locally do not want to fund defund-the-police efforts. They do not want to defund the police,” Save Austin Now co-founder Matt Mackowiak, who is also a long-time Republican activist, told Fox News.
