Firebrand Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is gloating about cuts she could help enable as part of Elon Musk’s government efficiency drive.
MTG told Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures what she has in store for her new subcommittee covering the work of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). The subcommittee will operate under the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, headed by Rep James Comer of Kentucky, and will work alongside DOGE, led by Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, ostensibly to recommend major cuts government spending when Donald Trump becomes president.
Greene promised a “deep dive” into every government department and program, with one recommendation being to have leaders of so-called “sanctuary cities”, whose policies protect immigrants, explain why they deserve federal funding.
“I’d like to talk to the governors of sanctuary states and the mayors of sanctuary cities and have them come before our committee and explain why they deserve federal dollars if they’re going to harbor illegal criminal aliens in their states and their cities,” she said.
Asked by Bartiromo whether such cities and states would lose federal funding, she reiterated: “If they use their police officers and resources to harbor and protect illegal criminal aliens, then absolutely.”
Greene specifically mentioned the death of Laken Riley, the 22-year-old nursing student murdered while jogging on the University of Georgia campus in Athens in February.
Her murderer was convicted and sentenced to life in prison this week. Jose Ibarra, a Venezuelan immigrant who was in the country illegally, was allowed to leave New York City in September 2023 and traveled to Georgia.
The election is over. The days of Woke are far distant, appearing only as a blip in our rear view mirror. The Nation has spoken. President Trump’s victory is monumentous. Both the House and Senate are now in Republican hands. Democrats must now wake up to the new reality. Stuffing the bloated government with those who are woven of the Woke thread will soon see the day when they will be rationalized.
DOGE, is set to eliminate the departments that have caused irreperable harm to our country. However, “The Don” was given an overwhelming mandate by the American people to impliment the agenda he ran on. Perhaps, those who have Blue Blood in their veins are not related to Laken Riley, a medical student from Georgia, whose life was cut short by an illegal murderer. We say to them, that one single ionnocent American Life resulted in blood on your hands, because you condoned Open Borders.

The undocumented migrant accused of killing Georgia nursing student Laken Riley — a slaying that ignited fresh debate over the border crisis — waived his right to a trial by jury Tuesday and agreed to a bench trial, in which a judge will decide his guilt or innocence.
With the prosecution in agreement, Superior Court Judge H. Patrick Haggard approved 26-year-old Jose Antonio Ibarra’s waiver. Through his translator, Ibarra told the judge he understands he can’t reverse his decision.
Riley, a 22-year-old Augusta University College of Nursing student, was killed February 22 while out for a run on the University of Georgia’s campus. Ibarra is an undocumented migrant from Venezuela whose case renewed fierce debate among politicians over who’s to blame for the border crisis.
In this case the judge should have no mercy, but to sentence the murderer to death. The animal doesn’t deserve to live.
The illegal criminals who broke into our country are now beginning to realize the penalty for breaking and entering. The ‘send back’ must beging immediately. The longer they are allowed to stay, the more ANCHOR BABIES they will have. We can’t allow this to happen. Just the other day we heard from a Pro Criminal Proponent that these illegals contribute to the economy. We would like for him to produce statistics confirming his claim.
But we can obliterate his claim. First of all his free hospitalization, then comes bilingual teachers, next up is the annual cost of education – say $25k per year times 12 = $300k, We don’t stop there, Federal taxes paid are in the majority of cases near zero due to the number of dependent exemptions (kids), last but not least is how they contribute to the economy – they don’t, the only effect will be in their own community.
However, the crimes committed are beyond the pale. Like the days when the Mob held sway, The Latino Gangs are into the protection racket, vending drugs, kidnapping and murder.
The cost to society can’t be tallied due to the various unknowns. A wild guess would be more than a trillion per year.
