Traditions

Traditionally – and I use this term, even though tradition has become a dirty word to the left – traditionally, when your economy is going south on you, or there is political unrest at home that threatens to remove you from power, traditionally, those in power start a war. We have seen this happen time and time again throughout history, all over the world. We are very likely to see it again. Soon.

The Ayatollah al Obozo and his unindicted co-conspirators in his administration and the corrupt, parasitic institution that is Congress, have managed to set the world back, peacewise, to a time that resembles the days leading up to damn near every war in recorded history. Their meddling in the Middle East has created massive instability that has allowed insanely zealous barbarians like ISIS to arise and metastasize in an epidemic worse than Ebola. Meanwhile, as both Russia and China have thrown caution to the wind and have been going full speed ahead with military improvement and expansion, al Obozo has been hell-bent on cutting and demoralizing ours. Traditionally, Obozo’s actions are called treason, but as the late, great Barry Goldwater said, none dare call it that.

So, while the Chinese make public statements that they are not afraid of having a war with us, and have their subs shadowing our aircraft carriers, and while the Russians hurl snarky insults at al Obozo as they violate the arms treaty and execute new tests of their nuke delivery missiles, and their nuclear bombers buzz our ships and cruise our coastlines, how does the Fraud in the Rainbow House react? By proving himself to be the Great Prevaricator, the Liar-in-Chief, and putting boots on the ground again in Iraq. Yikes!

The treasonous deal with Iran, brokered by the traitor John F. Kerry – who speaks French, by the way – and Ayatollah al Obozo – who can barely speak English, if it’s not written for him on a teleprompter – appears too, to have gone the traditional way of such sucker scams. As soon as it was signed, the $157 billion freed up to fund terrorists once again, and the crippling sanctions lifted, the Islamist Iranian rulers made it crystal clear that they have no intention of honoring any part of the deal. As it turns out, they have been responsible for at least 14% of the American deaths in Iraq, so al Obozo sending more American troops there seems to be icing on the cake for the Terrorists of Tehran.

Traditionally, Nobel Peace Prize winners don’t go around starting or abetting or getting their countries involved in wars. Not so with America’s Instant Peace Prize Laureate. Al Obozo has been responsible for tens of thousands of deaths of our troops and innocent civilians all over the world. As noted above, this has added immensely to the probability of a major war – World War III? – breaking out. It has also given the impetus and the excuse for the massive invasion of Europe by “refugees”, some 80% of whom are military age, single Muslim males, traditionally the core of jihadist armies. Though it failed in 732, thanks to Charles “The Hammer” Martel – the last great French military man – and again in 1492, when the last Muslims were run out of Spain, it seems indisputable that Europe is in imminent danger of falling to Islamic jihad. The Propaganda Ministry, aka, the “mainstream” media, love to gush about al Obozo’s “unprecedented” accomplishments. Bringing on the potential destruction of the world by all-consuming war leading to a nuclear holocaust, by a Nobel Peace Prize winner is decidedly unprecedented, and certainly not traditional.

Traditionally, elected representatives of We, the People, pay attention to our wants and needs if for no

other reason, traditionally, that if they don’t, they’ll get booted out of office. However, this seems to be another of those traditions that has gone by the wayside. On issue after issue, from the disastrous ObamaCare to amnesty to IRS and EPA abuses of authority to taxes and spending to defunding, demoralizing, and downsizing of our military to job-killing complicity with the “environmental”movement, Congress has blatantly ignored the wishes of 65 to 90% of We, the People. Instead, they do the bidding of huge-money “donors” – traditionally referred to as “criminal bribe givers” – the “special interests” of the not-so-distant past. We, the People, are no longer feared by those who would use positions of power, privilege, and influence in government for their own benefit. Frankly, the only thing – repeat: the only thing – that stands between us and totalitarian domination by a far left elitist minority is the Second Amendment. And when the house of cards built by this bought-and-paid-for “government” collapses, and the circling Russian, Chinese and jihadist wolves move in for the kill, it will be the tradition of a freedom-loving armed citizenry, the “gun behind every blade of grass” that the Japanese so feared, that will ultimately be our salvation.

The salute which defined the Hitler era is about to return, but in reverse. Germans are demanding the resignation of Angela Merkel.

The anti-mass migration Alternativ für Deutschland (AfD) party held a rally in the German capital Berlin this afternoon, demanding the resignation of Chancellor Angela Merkel and calling for the country to adopt a strong policy on immigration.

The AfD has seen its popularity surge as Germany struggles to deal with the huge influx of migrants, and is currently campaigning in local elections in the Saxony-Anhalt region that will be seen as an indicator of public sentiment on the issue.

German paper Handelsblatt estimates that 5,000 people joined the rally this afternoon, calling for the immediate closure of Germany’s borders and introduction of Visa requirements from migrants from the Balkan states, including Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Looming counteroffensive

The operation to retake Sinjar is fast approaching.

At night in Snuny, the yapping of wild dogs competes with the drone of C-130 aircraft and high-pitched murmur of coalition strike planes, invisible thousands of feet above.

The tempo of air strikes against ISIS positions in and around the town has picked up; CNN witnessed one strike against what was described as a vehicle suicide bomb on the outskirts of the town. On Wednesday alone there were nine strikes.

DE-CHRISTIANIZATION OF AMERICA

Let’s be clear: The much-heralded “decline of Christianity in America” isn’t about God losing faith in humankind. It isn’t about losing our moral compass thanks to whatever you happen to loathe. It isn’t about fickle millennials. It isn’t about zigging trendy or zagging traditional. In fact, I would argue that Christianity isn’t in trouble at all.

Churches are in trouble. Denominations are in trouble. Religious institutions like seminaries are in trouble. Professional church leaders are in trouble and our Pastors lack the gumption to speak out.

But churches can’t hold God hostage. God will do what God will do. Whether our churches stay open for business, God will keep on loving all that God has made. Loss of an institution won’t deter God.

So let’s relax about Christianity — the faith — is not going down the tubes. This isn’t an existential crisis for God or for faith in God. Even if every church in America went dark, God would lead us to find another way.

The tragedy — in the classic sense of self-inflicted wounds and fatal flaws — is that we did this to ourselves, and we hurt many people along the way. Here is what we did:

1. We stopped trying. For a time, religious institutions in America were bold risk-takers. Along with the cardinal sins, we fought abortion, pornography, drugs, premarital sex, Communism, gratuitous sex in the movies, infidelity, rapacious greed, Homosexuality, same sex marriage and adultery.

2. We spoke out against a tyrannical government, whether State, Federal or local………………..

3. Then however we settled into a politically correct maintenance mode, because it felt lt safe and comfortable. We fought over churchy things that didn’t matter because the things that did matter — Issues like racism, inequality, demagoguery, corporate thievery, obsession with money and sex — cut too close to home.

4. We stopped giving. Over the past 50 years, our giving has dropped by more than half as a percentage of family income. We have starved our churches of resources. When tough budget choices had to be made, the facilities that we wanted usually defeated the mission that God wanted.

5. We turned inward. Just as American houses went from porches in front to patios out back, we stopped connecting with our neighbors. We stopped looking outward, except for the occasional noblesse oblige charity. We stopped opening our doors on Sunday and welcomed each other.

6. We fixated on Sunday morning. Long after Sunday changed character in American life, we kept expecting Sunday worship to do all our work. Rather than transform lives through mission work, circles of growth and personal spirituality, we had people sit in pews for a crammed hour of singing, praying, announcing, chatting, communing and learning. Then we sent people out to their cars and figured we had done our work for the week. It takes more than attending Sunday Church services to be a Christian. We must be bold enough, brave enough, resolute enough to correct the wrongs of our society…..

We must stand up for and defend our faith, our principals our love of God… even in spite of vicious adversity….. At one time we were willing to accept death rather than deny our faith..And now we have become a nation of sheeple too afraid to make waves, too timid to speak out, too pusillanimous to be heard… ….

We forgot that Jesus Himself espoused civil disobedience to correct a societal wrong…

7. We trashed our reputation. We became known as judgmental, angry, self-serving, smug, boring pompous and old. As far as people outside can tell, we live to fight, we think too highly of ourselves, and we are moral scolds. Who needs that? What, then, is the future? The future for God is as bright and glorious as ever. Our ever-changing, ever-dynamic, ever-loving and ever-transformational God will be just fine.

We can say our prayers with confidence. Churches, on the other hand, are in trouble. Many will run out of money. Many will lose heart. And yet some, perhaps many, will rise to the challenge. They will give up the old certainties and do what Jesus did. Those challenge-meeters will look outward, proclaim good news, welcome strangers, serve “the least of these,” give their lives and resources away, work for justice and mercy, be faith communities seven days a week and put love ahead of right opinion and kindness ahead of victory. And God will be in the midst of us.

ISIS – the Islamic State – is crucifying Christians. The Pope has called it a “third world war.”

Christians are being exterminated from the cradle of Christianity.

As the jihadist army grows, it commits genocide against Christians and plots to terrorize America. Yet, the Obama Administration says there is “no military solution” to ISIS, only a diplomatic one. That’s absurd. And deadly.

Christians are dying every day. We must act. We must aggressively advocate across the globe for persecuted Christians. We’ve exposed the evil that is ISIS. We must work to defend Christians. We’re directly engaging at the United Nations and fighting in Congress to protect the persecuted Church. Now we need Congress and the Obama Administration to hear directly from you. Demand action to defeat ISIS and defend Christians. You may be these Christians’ only voice. Defend the faith. Push back, stop this Muslim slaughter.

Stop being the pusillanimous sheeple you have become hiding behind political correctness…………stand up and be counted…….fight for JESUS……defend the faith…….BE OLD TIME CHRISTIANS……….STAND FOR YOUR FAITH………

The United States government has not been only infiltrated by criminal socialists, the DOJ and FBI has done their bidding.  Currently, Lois Lerner, John Koskinen, both part of the IRS arm which targeted Tea Party groups have gone unscathed.

Hillary Clinton, a criminal in her own right has not suffered even the threat of retribution from the Obama criminal cabal. Clinton, upon being sworn in as Secretary of State,  signed documentation in 2009 that she would abide by the strict rules pertaining to top secret government documents. As we all know Clinton thumbed her nose at the government; “like with a cloth.”

As secretary of state, Hillary Clinton signed a nondisclosure agreement in which she acknowledged that classified information is classified regardless of whether it is “marked or unmarked” — a distinction which undermines one of the Democratic presidential candidate’s main defenses of her use of a home-brew email system.

Signers of the document, the existence of which the Washington Free Beacon reported on Friday, also agree that all information that they have access to “is now and will remain the property of, or under the control of the United States government unless and until otherwise determined by an authorized official or final ruling of a court of law.”

The “Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement,” or SF-312, also makes clear that “classified information is marked or unmarked classified information, including oral communications.”

Remember General Petraeus, they hung him out to dry for one small transgression. Convicted and sentenced to two years probation and fined $100,000. Sharing information with his biographer did not compromise the defense of the United States, but for sure, Clinton’s did.

Christians are facing the Muslim sword throughout the Middle East. The latest being the killing of Pakistani Christians. The 97-percent Muslim nation that straddles the Middle East and Asia is one of the most dangerous places in the world for Christians, according to an annual report published last month by the State Department following calls by the U.S. Center for International Religious Freedom to include the country in its list of “Countries of Particular Concern.”

What gets our goat is the hipocrisy of Jordan’s King Abudllah and the Jew hater Palestinian Abbas continue to profess their desire to protect their Christians and the Christian holy sites of Jerusalem. What a joke. They should look around and see how many Christians are living there. The only place in the Middle East where Christians are safe is in Israel.

The world doesn’t care what happens to Christians when the likes Merkl and Obama support the settling of  Muslim invaders into their countries. And the U.N., a far leftist organization, run by Muslims surreptitiously laugh behind close doors as the Muslims flow across European borders.

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Emirates, Qatar look the other way when they say, “no immigrants welcome here.”

Another Clinton Associate Found DEAD, Bill & Hillary’s Body Count Increases!

Fascinating information is going viral about Hillary and Bill Clinton, which exposes just how truly ruthless they are. In many ways they are worse than Obama. One major reason I say this is because the Clintons have a long history of people in their inner-circle dying under mysterious circumstances.
In fact, 46 people who were close to the Clintons have died during their 3 decades of political power. That number should give us all pause. If Hillary Clinton was a Republican, that number would be the question asked by reporters every day.

Now, the latest to be added to the list, maintained by WhatReallyHappened.com, is Walter Scheib. He was hired by the Clinton White House to work as a Chef, and continued to serve the Bush administration. Interestingly, he was reported missing during a hike, and his body was found almost 2 miles away at the bottom of a river. No cause of death has ever been made, but the death date is listed as June 13, 2015

But the list is far more extensive! For example, Mary Mahoney was a Clinton White House Intern who was executed brutally at a Starbucks she was managing in 1997.  As a lesbian, she became close friends with all of the interns of the early Clinton administration, and they would seek her advice after Bill’s sexual advancements. She would have been a star witness during the Clinton impeachment trials.

And don’t forget Clinton White House Council Vince Foster, who was found dead in Ft. Marcy Park in Washington, D.C. He supposedly killed himself with a shotgun, and was found a few days later with a suitcase that contained a shredded suicide note.

Foster knew the Clintons from his time at Rose Law Firm in Arkansas, and had intimate details of the Clinton’s financial situation. Apparently, he made a phone call to Hillary Clinton just hours before his death. The person who found him never saw a gun.

Also, you may not have heard of the Clinton’s former lawyer Charles Ruff who died in 2000:

Charles Ruff was one of Clinton’s attorneys during the impeachment trial and was known to have inside information on the White House email scandal as well. Original reports were that he died in an accident in his home although no details were given. Then the report changed to claim that he was found in his bedroom unconscious, then declared dead on arrival at the hospital. The authorities will provide no details other than the usual (and quite premature) assurances that there was no foul play involved.

And don’t forget James McDougal!
Jim McDougal was serving his 3-year sentence for bank fraud at the Fort Worth Federal Medical Center in Texas, a facility operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons for inmates who need medical attention.

Just prior to another round of testimony before Kenneth Starr’s grand jury, and while the reporters who were covering that story were two hours away covering a standoff situation in Waco that just “went away,” Jim McDougal suffered a heart attack while in solitary confinement. Left alone for too long, when Jim McDougal was taken out of solitary, instead of attempting to defibrillate his heart with equipment on hand at the facility, he was driven to John Peter Smith Hospital. Not the closest hospital to the Fort Worth Federal Medical Center, John Peter Smith Hospital is a welfare hospital, where (in the words of one local) ,”They let interns practice on deadbeats.”

NEW! The Fort Worth Star-Telegram acquired the official report of the McDougal death via a Freedom Of Information Act request, and reported that doctors ignored McDougal’s signs of imminent death.

The Clinton body count is massive and growing. Hillary Clinton will stop at nothing to become President, and death seems to follow her everywhere she goes. It is time to learn the truth about these murders and expose the Clintons. Instead of the White House, it appears they both belong in prison.

1- James McDougal – Clintons convicted Whitewater partner died of an apparent heart attack, while in solitary confinement. He was a key witness in Ken Starr’s investigation.

2 – Mary Mahoney – A former White House intern was murdered July 1997 at a Starbucks Coffee Shop in Georgetown .. The murder happened just after she was to go public with her story of sexual harassment in the White House.

A pathologist close to the investigation reported that there was a hole in the top of Brown’s skull resembling a gunshot wound. At the time of his death Brown was being investigated, and spoke publicly of his willingness to cut a deal with prosecutors. The rest of the people on the plane also died. A few days later the air Traffic controller committed suicide.

5 – C. Victor Raiser, II – Raiser, a major player in the Clinton fund raising organization died in a private plane crash in July 1992.

6 – Paul Tulley – Democratic National Committee Political Director found dead in a hotel room in Little Rock , September 1992. Described by Clinton as a “dear friend and trusted advisor”.

7 – Ed Willey – Clinton fundraiser, found dead November 1993 deep in the woods in VA of a gunshot wound to the head. Ruled a suicide. Ed Willey died on the same day his wife Kathleen Willey claimed Bill Clinton groped her in the oval office in the White House. Ed Willey was involved in several Clinton fund raising events.

8 – Jerry Parks – Head of Clinton’s gubernatorial security team in Little Rock .. Gunned down in his car at a deserted intersection outside Little Rock Park’s son said his father was building a dossier on Clinton He allegedly threatened to reveal this information. After he died the files were mysteriously removed from his house.

9 – James Bunch – Died from a gunshot suicide. It was reported that he had a “Black Book” of people which contained names of influential people who visited prostitutes in Texas and Arkansas.  The book was never found.

10 – James Wilson – Was found dead in May 1993 from an apparent hanging suicide. He was reported to have ties to Whitewater..

11 – Kathy Ferguson – Ex-wife of Arkansas Trooper Danny Ferguson, was found dead in May 1994, in her living room with a gunshot to her head. It was ruled a suicide even though there were several packed suitcases, as if she were going somewhere. Danny Ferguson was a co-defendant along with Bill Clinton in the Paula Jones lawsuit Kathy Ferguson was a possible corroborating witness for Paula Jones.

12 – Bill Shelton – Arkansas State Trooper and fiancee of Kathy Ferguson. Critical of the suicide ruling of his fiancee, he was found dead in June, 1994 of a gunshot wound also ruled a suicide at the grave site of his fiancee.

13 – Gandy Baugh – Attorney for Clinton’s friend Dan Lassater, died by jumping out a window of a tall building January, 1994. His client was a convicted drug distributor.

14 – Florence Martin – Accountant & sub-contractor for the CIA, was related to the Barry Seal, Mena, Arkansas, airport drug smuggling case. He died of three gunshot wounds.

15 – Suzanne Coleman – Reportedly had an affair with Clinton when he was Arkansas Attorney General. Died of a gunshot wound to the back of the head, ruled a suicide. Was pregnant at the time of her death.

16 – Paula Grober – Clinton’s speech interpreter for the deaf from 1978 until her death December 9, 1992. She died in a one car accident.

17 – Danny Casolaro – Investigative reporter. Investigating Mena Airport and Arkansas Development Finance Authority. He slit his wrists, apparently, in the middle of his investigation.

18 – Paul Wilcher – Attorney investigating corruption at Mena Airport with Casolaro and the 1980 “October Surprise” was found dead on a toilet June 22, 1993, in his Washington DC apartment. Had delivered a report to Janet Reno 3 weeks before his death.

19 – Jon Parnell Walker – Whitewater investigator for Resolution Trust Corp. Jumped to his death from his Arlington , Virginia apartment balcony August 15, 1993. He was investigating the Morgan Guaranty scandal.

20 – Barbara Wise – Commerce Department staffer. Worked closely with Ron Brown and John Huang. Cause of death unknown. Died November 29, 1996. Her bruised, nude body was found locked in her office at the Department of Commerce.

21 – Charles Meissner – Assistant Secretary of Commerce who gave John Huang special security clearance, died shortly thereafter in a small plane crash.

22 – Dr. Stanley Heard – Chairman of the National Chiropractic Health Care Advisory Committee died with his attorney Steve Dickson in a small plane crash. Dr. Heard, in addition to serving on Clinton ‘s advisory council personally treated Clinton’s mother, stepfather and brother.

23 – Barry Seal – Drug running TWA pilot out of Mena Arkansas, death was no accident.

24 – Johnny Lawhorn, Jr. – Mechanic, found a check made out to Bill Clinton in the trunk of a car left at his repair shop. He was found dead after his car had hit a utility pole.

25 – Stanley Huggins – Investigated Madison Guaranty. His death was a purported suicide and his report was never released.

26 – Hershell Friday – Attorney and Clinton fundraiser died March 1, 1994, when his plane exploded.

27 – Kevin Ives & Don Henry – Known as “The boys on the track” case. Reports say the boys may have stumbled upon the Mena Arkansas airport drug operation. A controversial case, the initial report of death said, due to falling asleep on railroad tracks. Later reports claim the 2 boys had been slain before being placed on the tracks. Many linked to the case died before their testimony could come before a Grand Jury.

28 – Keith Coney – Died when his motorcycle slammed into the back of a truck, 7/88.

32 – James Milan – Found decapitated. However, the Coroner ruled his death was due to natural causes”.

33 – Jordan Kettleson – Was found shot to death in the front seat of his pickup truck in June 1990.

34 – Richard Winters – A suspect in the Ives/Henry deaths. He was killed in a set-up robbery July 1989.

Police: Concealed carry license holder kills armed gunman

CHICAGO –  An armed man attempting to rob a neighborhood store was shot and killed by a customer who had a concealed carry license, Chicago police said Sunday.

A masked man, later identified as 55-year-old Reginald Gildersleeve, walked into the store and currency exchange about 7 p.m. Saturday on the city’s southwest side, displayed a handgun and announced a robbery to an employee, police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. The gunman next pointed his weapon at another employee and forced her to the back of the store.

The armed customer then fatally shot the man multiple times, according to theChicago Sun-Times. Gildersleeve was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:10 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He had an extensive criminal history, including prior arrests for robbery, the Sun-Times reported. Gildersleeve was set to have an autopsy performed on Sunday, according to the Chicago Tribune.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the customer, who has not been identified, will face charges. Guglielmi said the case is under review by local prosecutors, but the preliminary details suggest that the customer was not at fault.

“We’re looking at it as a self-defense issue at this point,” he said.

Last month, a Michigan woman with a concealed carry license shot at shoplifters fleeing a Detroit-area Home Depot store, flattening a tire of their SUV. No one was hurt, and the suspected shoplifters were arrested several days later. The woman faces up to 90 days in jail after pleading no contest to a charge of reckless discharge of a firearm. Two other shootings in which citizens fired at lawbreakers or potential lawbreakers also happened in September in Michigan.

“It’s a slippery slope” when it comes to the question of whether citizens who are licensed to carry guns should intervene in dangerous situations, if at all, Guglielmi said.

“You have situations like this,” he said, referring to the foiled Chicago robbery in which no one else was hurt. “And you have situations that end tragically. The department is not going to advocate for what people should or shouldn’t do.”

ENOUGH GOVERNMENT HARASSMENT – HOW MUCH MORE CAN WE BE PUSHED BY BIG GOVERNMENT

We felt a comment was necessary before you read the story below. The government has harassed the small mom and pop guy for decades. But the big guy, the John Corizines of this world go off scot free. Crooked bankers walk the streets with wallets full of cash. Hillary Clinton is responsible for killing four of our brave men in Benghazi, including Ambassador Chris Stevens, yet the FBI has not brought charges against here.

And we can go on and on. What gets our goat is that the small guy/gal has been pushed to the limit by Big Government, yet we have not taken up arms. Now is the time to say, “enough is enough”, we have had it, come forth you government criminals or we will come for you.

We know that the fire in our bellies is there, but is it in our hearts to sacrifice what we have for freedom from the government? The only way to stop the tyrants in Washington is a full scale revolution.

When I founded Rhea Lana’s, a children’s clothing consignment company, 18 years ago, I knew that going into business would bring challenges. What I didn’t guess was that the biggest one would be the government.

For the last 34 months, I have found myself stuck between the Labor Department, which says my business model is illegal, and the federal courts, which refuse to clear the air.

I first set up shop in 1997, although it wasn’t much of a business back then. A stay-at-home mom in Conway, Ark., I realized that, like me, many mothers in the neighborhood couldn’t afford cute children’s clothes. Seeing an opportunity to help their families and mine, I began organizing consignment sales in my family’s living room. Before long these little sales grew beyond our wildest dreams. Thanks to my husband’s engineering know-how, we computerized, went online and began to offer real-time tracking of consignor sales. We converted to a franchise model in 2008 and now have 80 locations across 24 states.

Rhea Lana’s operations are similar to more than a thousand other consignment event businesses in the country. Our locations host two sales a year, each running two to eight days. Before a sale, consignors list their clothes and toys on our website, along with their asking prices. On the day of the event, they bring the items to the location and set them up for display. Consignors keep 70% of the proceeds.

They can also volunteer before and during the event—doing everything from setting up display racks, to checking out customers, to helping buyers carry heavy purchases to their cars. As a perk, volunteers are allowed to shop before the general public, and they are sometimes given preferential treatment on display locations for their own items.

But such mutually beneficial exchange is apparently a foreign concept to the federal government. In January 2013 the Labor Department audited our employment practices. Four months later the bureaucracy concluded that our volunteers are actually “employees.” As such, we were told that we were in violation of Sections 6 and 7 of the Fair Labor Standards Act regarding minimum wages and overtime pay. I was told this during a face-to-face meeting, without any accompanying written complaint or advance notice of allegations.

In a word, this was terrifying. I’m a small-business owner in Arkansas, not a major corporation with an army of lawyers familiar with such federal inquiries. Three months later—and still before we had received written notice or had any official action taken against us—the department sent letters to our consignors and volunteers inviting them to sue us for back wages. Tellingly, not a single person did.

But the Labor Department would not be deterred. Later that month officials sent us a letter demanding that we begin paying our volunteers as employees. Feeling as if we had no other option, in January 2014 we sued the department to put a stop to this harassment. But a federal judge in Washington, D.C., dismissed our complaint, holding that the court could not weigh in until a “final agency action” had been taken. We appealed with the help of Cause of Action, a government watchdog. On Monday the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals will hear oral arguments on the case.

This has taken an incredible toll on my family and my business. The Labor Department’s yearslong and still-unofficial crusade has placed Rhea Lana’s into regulatory purgatory. The department is ordering me to conduct business to my detriment, and threatening hundreds of thousands of dollars in civil penalties if I fail to comply. Yet a federal court has ruled that I lack any meaningful recourse until the agency files an official complaint, which it has not done. Meantime, and with the state of Arkansas already having audited and approved our employment practices, we are continuing our business as usual.

The case raises questions about what it means to volunteer in the 21st-century economy. Some—including, apparently, the Labor Department—believe it is illegal for a private business to receive an ounce of help without providing financial compensation. But as our business model shows, there are situations in which volunteering is mutually beneficial, even without money changing hands. Besides, if someone wants to spend a weekend helping families find affordable clothes and toys, why on earth would the federal government stop them?

Since that first sale in my family living room nearly two decades ago, Rhea Lana’s has helped tens of thousands of people find cheaper clothes for growing families. Our expansion is a testament to the value we bring to others’ lives. That is something to be applauded—not attacked by overzealous federal regulators.

As author-blogger Pamela Geller noted this week, citing German press reports, more than one in two refugees from one camp went missing and are now unaccounted for and considered “on the run.”At least 580 refugees initially were reported to have disappeared from Camp Shelterschlefe. Now, in a “terrible new twist,” the disappearances are spreading. “It’s become an epidemic,” Geller said. “7,000 migrants have left the Brandenburg shelters. Where are they going? Who is sheltering these illegals, many with ties to ISIS?”
Muslims are no strangers when it comes to the harassment, beating and killing of Jews; their skills have been honed since the days of Mohammad whose edict was to kill infidels, Christians and Jews. Expect suicide bombers showing up at synagogues, Jewish establishments, knife attacks and outright terrorism. The European Union has unleashed the devil; the unintended consequences are yet to be known.
