George Latimer ousts ‘Squad’ Rep. Jamaal Bowman in NY-16 District Democratic primary

Westchest County Executive George Latimer sent Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) packing from Congress Tuesday night, defeating the far-left “Squad” member in the 16th District’s Democratic primary.

Latimer, 70, will be heavily favored to defeat Republican Madeline Brame in the Nov. 5 general election to represent the deep-blue Bronx and Westchester constituency.

“Tonight, we turn the page and we say that we believe in the inclusion of everybody,” Latimer told cheering supporters in White Plains.

Open-air heroin use, mentally disturbed homeless people, human waste and troubling spasms of violence have turned a stretch of the East Village into a “s–thole,” locals say.

The area along East 14th Street, between First Avenue and Avenue A, was a dangerous eyesore even before the broad-daylight stabbing on Sunday that left one person dead and two others wounded, according to residents.

“It’s a s–thole. It’s horrid,” Barbara N., who has lived in the neighborhood since the 1980s, told The Post on Monday.

“It has gotten so bad.”

Kirsten Theodos, a former East Village resident, told The Post that the area started to change about 2019, when she noticed the local CVS started locking up deodorant and ice cream.

Homeless people started to camp near her building, “heroin needles” proliferated and locals began calling one sidewalk the “Thieves’ Corner,” Theodos said.

“I moved out because the conditions on 14th and First are unbearable,” the mother of two said.

Powers called the situation “out of control,” while Rivera blamed underinvestment in mental health.

Even disgraced Democratic pol and selfie enthusiast Anthony Weiner whipped out some unsolicited advice.

He tweeted that the NYPD should move cops posted in a vehicle near Target to a foot patrol.

“I refer you to the beat cop of yore,” he wrote.

White House blasts ‘cheap fake’ videos of Joe Biden appearing to freeze

The White House has blasted videos that appear to show Joe Biden freezing at public events – claiming the clips are “cheap fakes”.

Footage from a star-studded campaign fundraiser on Saturday appeared to show the US President clapping and waving before standing still and staring out at the crowd for around seven seconds, then being gently escorted off stage by former president Barack Obama.

It compounded concerns for the health of the Mr. Biden, 81, who is currently campaigning for a second term in office.

Last week while attending the G7 in Italy video showed Biden appeared to wander away from other world leaders while viewing a skydiving demonstration, with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni directing him back to the group.

Mr Biden also appeared to freeze for more than 20 during a concert at the White House last week, held ahead of Juneteenth National Independence Day.

At a briefing on Monday night, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blasted the footage and defended the president’s actions.

“President Obama, President Biden have a relationship,” she said, of the clip from Saturday’s fundraiser in Los Angeles. “They are friends. They are like family to each other, and that’s what you saw.

“Meloni…I don’t know specifically what happened with Meloni…It was a cheap fake. That was definitely a cheap fake. That video was widely fact-checked…the president walked over to give a thumbs-up to divers who had landed just in front of him.”

Asked if the president is “totally normal”, Ms Jean-Pierre said: “Instead of Republicans…focusing on his performance in office and what he’s been able to accomplish – his actual record – they do these cheap fakes. They are cheap fakes.”

She said the videos were “done in bad faith”, adding: “The right-wing critics of the president have a credibility problem because the fact checkers have repeatedly caught them pushing misinformation … disinformation.”She was also asked about last week’s incident in which Mr Biden appeared to freeze during a concert at the White House, held ahead of Juneteenth National Independence Day.

As Vice President Kamala Harris and others danced energetically, Mr Biden appeared to stand completely still for more than 20 seconds. He seemed to slur his words during a speech given later at the same event.

“Lights are on but no one’s home,” the Trump campaign’s “war room” account posted on X following the incident.

Ms Jean-Pierre defended the president on Monday night, saying Mr Biden “stood there listening to the music, and he didn’t dance”.

“Excuse me, I didn’t know not dancing was a mental…was a health issue,” she added. “That is a weird thing to actually flag when you look at the people who were around him, there were some folks who weren’t dancing either.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Legal (AFL) is releasing the second tranche of internal files from the “Homeland Intelligence Experts Group,” obtained exclusively through AFL’s litigation with Ambassador Ric Grenell against the Biden Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This is the second installment of #DeepStateDiaries, a multi-part series of releases including newly obtained documents.

Yesterday, AFL released documents showing how the Deep State’s DHS intel group proposed expanding DHS’s reach into local communities in an “ambiguous” and “non-threatening” way and contemplating ways to get teachers and mothers to report their children.

Today’s installment exposes how the Biden Administration classifies someone as a person likely to commit “domestic violent extremist” attacks, particularly those who support President Trump, are “in the military,” or are “religious.”

Under the Brennan-Clapper committee’s approach to national security, when all else fails, DHS should use being “in the military” or “religious” to profile people and tag them as having  “indicators of extremists and terrorism” as a pretext to allow DHS to spy on them. According to the Group, “we should be more worried about these.”

The group went on to discuss how “most of the Domestic Terrorism threat now comes from supporters of the former president,” i.e., Trump supporters.
