Trump-Era Border Restrictions Are in Place as Lawsuits Reach Supreme Court
In a brief to the court, the Biden administration acknowledged that the end of Title 42 would most likely lead to an increase in border crossings.
WASHINGTON — One of the most expansive immigration restrictions along the U.S.-Mexico border remained in force on Tuesday evening as lawyers for the Biden administration, migrant rights activists and Republican governors debated its continued use in written briefs submitted to the Supreme Court.
Government lawyers acknowledged that the end of the restrictions, which are known as Title 42, would “likely lead to disruption and a temporary increase in unlawful border crossings.”
“The government in no way seeks to minimize the seriousness of that problem,” the lawyers said in their brief. “But the solution to that immigration problem cannot be to extend indefinitely a public health measure that all now acknowledge has outlived its public health justification.”
Still, the lawyers asked that the court keep Title 42 in place until after Christmas so the government could get the proper resources in place.
Title 42 has not “outlived its public health justification” as the government insists. The criminal element is bringing in fentanyl, cocaine, Covid-19 and other illnesses. We do not know who these people are, how many are from countries, such as Iran, Iraq, Russia, Afghanistan, and African countries. The diseases they import go well beyond Covid. Why do they do it? Who needs to lie like this? I am thinking, of course, of Representative elect George Santos. But also of the whole lot of them. Of politicians as a species. Why do they feel the need to make stuff up?
It must be admitted that Santos is emerging as the undisputed top of his class of fibsters.
To date he claims to have attended a prestigious Bronx prep school which has no record of him ever being there. He claims to have graduated from Baruch College, despite never having enrolled there. He claims to have worked for Citigroup and Goldman Sachs but never did. When confronted with the fact that he´d never worked for either company he blamed a “poor choice of words.”
I can see the point. I often claim to have worked for the Dalai Lama, UN Secretary General and the Pope as their joint global emissary to solve all world conflicts. Whenever anyone points out that I haven’t left my apartment much lately I too just blame a “poor choice of words.”
Still, it is the sheer weirdness of Santos’ claims which keep striking me. It’s not just career embellishments — it is lies about pretty major things. For instance, so far the Republican has claimed that he is both Jewish and Catholic. When confronted by The New York Post about this he replied “I never claimed to be Jewish. I am Catholic. Because I learned my maternal family had a Jewish background I said I was Jew-ish.” It turns out that his family are from Brazil.
Then yesterday we learned that as recently as last year he was claiming that his mother died as a result of 9/11. Then he said she died of cancer in 2016.
What is it with this guy? Why does he feel the need to any of this? Does he think that people vote out of pity? Or because of which school or college someone went to? And what the hell does he think of New Yorkers if he thinks we deeply want representatives who worked for Goldman Sachs?
Of course he´s not the only one who does this. Our very own President is a master of the career-embellishing lie.

But with Joe Biden there is at least method to the madness. For instance when Biden has claimed in the past to have graduated at the top of his class in the toppiest class that ever was he is hoping that the public will just be wowed by his brilliance. “Top of the class? Well gee — there’s a guy I can get behind to run this country” says no one. In a way it is understandable. Joe Biden clearly has some kind of intellectual inferiority complex and it bursts out of him occasionally.
Way back in 1987 Biden could be found on the campaign trail claiming that he had attended law school on a full academic scholarship, been the outstanding student in the political science department and graduated with not one, not two, but three undergraduate degrees from Delaware. Turned out he’d been at the bottom of the class and scraped a single degree. Back then it was thought that Biden’s lies about his own career would destroy his future political prospects. So much for that

Maricopa County Superior Judge Peter Thompson dismissed eight out of 10 counts in Lake’s election lawsuit – ruling they did not fall under the proper criteria to bring election challenges under Arizona law.
The two counts that Judge Thompson ruled can go to trial involve printers malfunctioning on Election Day and ballot chain of custody. Lake claimed printers that malfunctioned were not certified and had “vulnerabilities” that made them “susceptible to hacking.” She also claimed the printers malfunctioned because of “intentional action.”
Title 42 could end on Wednesday. If this occurs, intelligence reports indicate that arrests of illegal aliens at the border could immediately soar to 14,000 per day on December 21st and then level out at 18,000 per day. Once this happens — and it will happen — there will be almost no agents left to patrol our southwest border with Mexico. The cartels will gain complete control.
The consequences of Biden’s self-inflicted border crisis have already been disastrous, but as bad as it is now, we’re only experiencing the tip of the iceberg.

Author and reporter Michael Shellenberger who helped release the latest installment of “The Twitter Files” from Elon Musk, said internal documents showed former FBI officials were so intertwined with the social media giant, they practically had their own communications system.
“The deputy chief of staff of the FBI went to Twitter. In fact, there were so many FBI officials at Twitter that they had their own internal messaging system,” Shellenberger said Monday on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” “They actually had their own cue-card to kind of train people going from FBI to Twitter.”
Shellenberger, a former California gubernatorial candidate, added that the FBI’s influence essentially affected content moderation and information-sharing.
You had these forces inside Twitter: former FBI officials — particularly Jim Baker — who very strenuously argued for the censorship of The New York Post’s reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop and the emails which showed these very questionable business dealings with China and other countries,” he said.

The National language was not in contestation because all of the founders spoke English. The Constitution was written in English.
At last count, mostly from off the cuff estimates, up to twenty million illegals are domiciled in the United States. The numbers have risen by a couple of million in the past twenty four months. This is a tide that will turn into a tsunami if not stopped in the very near future.
The timeline of the coming disaster is most easily found at its start, that being 1964. In that year the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was passed, it prohibited discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Provisions of this civil rights act forbade discrimination on the basis of sex, as well as, race in hiring, promoting, and firing. There really was nothing wrong with this legislative boondoggle at first sight, but you mix in Liberal Justices, then all hell breaks loose.
For one, as you can now see clearly, is the fact that people of color, mostly Blacks, want their due. Reparations from slavery is their call for justice. However, as we have repeated over and over again, Blacks have received over ten trillion dollars in welfare payments, food stamps, two hundred and fifty billion alone, free housing, free educations, free child care, free childcare allowances and free medical care. And the dollars keep growing. Like the War on Drugs, the War on Poverty will never be won, What is propelling this can be attributed to the Liberal Democrats who see welfare families as a free ticket to reelection. Power hungry mongers line the halls of the Capitol buying votes through legislation.
To repeat the old shibboleth, “you can’t fight yourself out of a recession by the continuation of printing money.” This is Keynesian economics on steroids. Something has to give, and it will sooner than you think. Taxpayers, even those in the higher brackets are running to greener pastures, even they have had enough and seen the light.
Getting back to Our Founding Fathers. Do you ever think that they envisioned a Trans? Not in their wildest dreams. How about a non-binary? You have got to be kidding. By the way, we don’t have anything bad to say about them, other than obey the law. Once you step on our rights, only then will we act to preserve our rights. If you want to be gay or lesbian, it is OK with us, just don’t ask for special privileges.
However, we must elucidate further. Our Founding Fathers built a nation based on the Judeo-Christian ethic. Today, this has been trashed. There is no ethic today. Christians have been targeted for their religion. In fact the Church is losing believers by one million each year. This is not surprising. And the future looks grim indeed. By 2070, Christians in the United States will delve below 43% or more according to recent trends. Religion as a whole is losing believers, this explains the loss of Morality today; anything goes.

Late last month, Chicago Police Officer Melvina Bogard was acquitted of felony battery charges in the shooting of an unarmed man at a Chicago train station in 2020. While a handful of local media outlets reported on the story at the time, the case received far less attention than most in which a cop shoots a civilian.
Perhaps this has something to do with Bogard’s race — she is black and the shooting victim, Ariel Roman, is white. Whenever a white cop shoots and injures a black victim in the US, the media explodes with outrage, as journalists seek to prop up the narrative of systemic white supremacy and brutality within the police force. But there is far less appetite for the reverse scenario, even when that white victim isn’t armed, doesn’t appear to be a danger to police and is shot at close range.
The details around the Roman shooting are clear. On Feb. 8, 2020, officer Bogard and her partner, Bernard Butler, attempted to arrest Roman for illegally moving between train cars at the Grand Avenue stop on the Chicago’s Red Line train system.

In video footage compiled by The Chicago Sun-Times, Roman can be seen persistently resisting arrest. One of the officers screams “stop resisting” more than 10 times. Eventually the officers deploy their Tasers, yet Roman manages to remain on his feet. Bogard then pulls her gun and yells, “Sir, put your f–king hands down!” Butler, meanwhile, yells, “Shoot him!”
In a matter of seconds, Bogard shoots Roman in the stomach at point-blank range. Somehow Roman flees before she fires at him a second time in the back. Eventually, Roman, wounded and bloodied, is apprehended and arrested.

Blame for the shooting can be placed on both sides. Roman was clearly noncompliant — he defied all of the officers’ commands, forcing events to escalate. On the other hand, firing shots at Roman when he was just a few feet away feels excessive. Although Bogard claimed she shot Roman in self-defense, even her own police chief, David Brown, didn’t buy that argument. He called for her to be fired for violating police protocol, saying deadly force was not necessary on a person who posed no serious threat to her or anyone nearby.

After leaving the bureau in 2018, Baker reportedly found himself under criminal investigation for allegedly leaking materials to reporters.
Baker has stood by his conduct while at the FBI and with regard to the Russia probe.

Elon Musk has fired Twitter’s deputy general counsel, James Baker, over his alleged suppression of internal documents about blocking The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop exposé.
“In light of concerns about Baker’s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today,” Musk tweeted Tuesday.
Musk added that he questioned Baker before his firing about the events surrounding the laptop suppression scandal and that the lawyer’s explanation was “unconvincing.”
Baker, a former top FBI lawyer, was discovered to be secretly vetting the internal Twitter documents before they could be reviewed by journalists, leading to a delay in the release of more material related to the company’s censorship scandal.
“On Friday, the first installment of the Twitter files was published here. We expected to publish more over the weekend. Many wondered why there was a delay,” independent journalist Matt Taibbi tweeted on Tuesday.
“We can now tell you part of the reason why. On Tuesday, Twitter Deputy General Counsel (and former FBI General Counsel) Jim Baker was fired. Among the reasons? Vetting the first batch of ‘Twitter Files’ — without knowledge of new management,” Taibbi added.
Taibbi further revealed that former Wall Street Journal and New York Times writer Bari Weiss is also involved in reviewing the social media giant’s internal documents related to The Post’s Hunter Biden story and that it was she who discovered Baker’s involvement, which Musk was unaware of, according to Taibbi.
“The process for producing the ‘Twitter Files’ involved delivery to two journalists (Bari Weiss and me) via a lawyer close to new management. However, after the initial batch, things became complicated,” Taibbi said.
He added that Weiss discovered “that the person in charge of releasing the files was someone named Jim.
“When she called to ask ‘Jim’s’ last name, the answer came back: ‘Jim Baker.’”
Taibbi added in a tweet, “ ‘My jaw hit the floor,’ says Weiss.”
He said the first batch of files both reporters received was marked “Spectra Baker Emails.”
Baker “is a controversial figure,” Taibbi wrote.
