‘Incentives to Break the Law’: Student Rips ‘Absurd’ Bill Allowing Illegal Immigrants to Apply for Financial Aid’
A Rutgers University student blasted a new bill that allows illegal immigrants attending college in New Jersey to apply for and receive financial aid.
“It’s just absurd that we’re giving illegal immigrants more and more incentives to break the law. … I’m going to be paying for that debt after college,” Nick Knight said.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy (D) called the United States the “world’s melting pot” where people come “in the hope of a new life,” when he signed the legislation at Rutgers-Newark, according to NJ.com.
The Garden State became the ninth in the country to allow illegal immigrants to receive financial aid with the bill’s signing.
“The battle we are in over DACA has sought to punish children,” said Malloy. “It’s a toxic environment in which to exist and I hope the message to the world is that there is another way.”
He signed the bill surrounded by undocumented students lobbied at the Capitol for the bills’ passage for four years.

Israel strikes ‘nearly all’ Iranian infrastructure in Syria after Iran rocket attack, minister says
Israel said it struck “nearly all” of the Iranian infrastructure sites in Syria on Thursday, in direct response to a barrage of Iranian rocket fire targeting Israeli military positions in the Golan Heights.
The Israel Defense Force (IDF) said it deployed fighter jets that struck every target on its list. The targets included military compounds, intelligence operations and munition warehouses, a statement read. The strikes were Israel’s largest air operation in years, the statement read.

The alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, like the Senate intelligence panel’s Democrats, has come out against President Donald Trump’s nomination of Gina Haspel to lead the CIA.
Both Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and the Democrats question whether Haspel, a longtime CIA agent, is fit to run the agency given her involvement in the torture of prisoners following the attacks in 2001.
The Al-Qaeda leader, who was captured in March 2003 and was reportedly tortured, asked a military judge Monday at the U.S. prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to share an attachment titled “Additional Facts, Law and Argument in Support” with the intelligence committee, the New York Times reported.

President Trump is withdrawing the U.S. from the controversial Iran nuclear deal and imposing greater sanctions on the Middle Eastern nation, he said from the White House on May 8.
Calling the 2015 landmark accord “decaying and rotten,” Trump said the U.S. would “not be held hostage to nuclear blackmail” and promised to reinstate the highest level of sanctions on Iran. For months, Trump left open whether he would move to officially scrap the agreement or renegotiate it.
The deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), had lifted most U.S. and international sanctions on Tehran as certain restrictions were placed on Iran’s nuclear program. The historic agreement was reached by Iran and several world powers, including the U.S., in 2015 under Barack Obama’s presidency.
The Iranians are good at threats, but they now face several dangers. Their execution of increasing the magnitude of the ballistic missile program faces several challenges – Israel, U.S. Saudi Arabia and others that are waiting in the wings.
