CBS News Aired 2 Different Answers to Same Question from Harris’ ’60 Minutes’ Interview

Former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed the edits constituted a “giant fake news scam” and demanded CBS’ broadcast license be revoked.

A rumor circulating online in early October 2024 about the weekly TV news program “60 Minutes” claimed CBS News edited and presented two different versions of U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’ answer to a question about U.S. relations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

After asking the question that was shortened in the final clip, Whitaker said to Harris, “But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening.” The video then cut to Harris responding, “We are not gonna stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.” (Again, that sentence was omitted from the longer interview clip previously aired on “Face the Nation” and the “60 Minutes” YouTube page.)

Former President Donald Trump amplified the controversy by labeling CBS’ actions “election interference” and a “fake news scam.” He also shared a comparison video demonstrating that CBS News aired two versions of Harris’ answer to the same question. Ultimately, he demanded that CBS’ broadcast license be revoked.

In our research, we found that CBS News did broadcast two different versions of Harris’ answers to a series of questions she was asked about Netanyahu. One version aired on Oct. 6 on the Sunday-morning CBS News program “Face the Nation,” and the other on “60 Minutes” the following day, during the show’s primetime election special. As of this writing, both versions remain available online.
The Oct. 6 ‘Face the Nation’ Version

On Oct. 6, “Face the Nation” broadcast a clip of Harris’ remarks about Netanyahu, as a preview of the “60 Minutes” election special set to air the following evening. The clip (available on YouTube) lasted more than two minutes. The same day, “60 Minutes” posted the same preview clip to its official YouTube channel.

Bill Clinton Criticizes Border Security at Kamala Harris Event

Bill Clinton said that the killing of Laken Riley, a Georgia nursing student who was brutally murdered in February allegedly by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela, could have been prevented had the killer been “properly vetted.”

As illegal migrant crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border have surged in recent years before ebbing, immigration and border security have remained a top issue for voters.

“Kamala Harris claimed the border was “secure” just days after Laken Riley’s illegal immigrant killer Jose Ibarra crossed into the nation,” Trump’s campaign wrote in a press release Monday.

Kamala Harris mingled with Tehran regime operative who promotes terrorism

Iranian operatives in the US fund and fuel hate on  campus and spread  propaganda across the country — and even get  face time with friendly American elected officials,  according to an alarming new report on extremism by George Washington University researchers.

In one of the report’s concerning images,  Vice President Kamala Harris is seen happily mingling with  an  imam at the center of the murderous regime’s influence campaign.

An Iranian-born cleric who served as head of the Iranian Navy’s political-ideological office during the 1980s, Imam Mohammad Ali Elahi has deep, decades-long ties to his homeland, and has praised the Islamic Republic’s bloodthirsty founder Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and Hezbollah, saying he would die for the cause.

Harris convened with Elahi  at a vaccination event at the TCF Center (since renamed Huntington Place)  in Detroit in July 2021, and planned to visit his controversial Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn, Michigan.

“Imam Elahi joined the vaccination mobilization event addressed by Vice President Harris, Governor [Gretchen] Whitmer . . . and a group of state and national political leaders,” the nonprofit gushed alongside images of a smiling Elahi with Harris.

We have no problem sharing the day with the indigenous peoples, but to throw Columbus over the bow does not sit right with us. If it were not for him, we would not be on this hallowed ground today.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Former President Barack Obama gave a blistering critique of his White House successor Donald Trump and urged Black men to show up for Kamala Harris as he opened a swing-state tour for the Democratic ticket.

At a campaign field office to thank volunteers, Obama said Thursday he wanted to “speak some truths” after hearing reports on the ground that there was lower enthusiasm for Harris than there was for his own candidacy and that some Black men were thinking of sitting out the election.

“Part of it makes me think — and I’m speaking to men directly — part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that,” Obama said.

The former president said Trump’s penchant for putting people down was not real strength.

Of course, Obama speaks with forked tongue. Lies and more lies come like a flood from his mouth. Trump hasn’t put people down. What has put people down are Biden, calling Trump a clown and Clinton calling Trump supporters, “deplorables” and other Democrats calling Trump supporters a danger to society. Mob of up to 30 looters, some armed, ransack freight train in Chicago

Six people were arrested after suspects loaded vehicles with the stolen goods as the train awaited an interchange

Wild news helicopter footage captured the moment a mob of approximately 30 people, some armed, according to police, looted a freight train in Chicago on Friday and made off with appliances like air fryers and flat-screen TVs.

At least six people were arrested following the incident which took place at around 2:40 p.m. as the double-stacked train was stopped and awaiting an interchange with a partner railroad on the city’s West Side, Union Pacific tells Fox News Digital.

Swarms of thieves can be seen opening container doors and then plundering the boxed goods. Police radio communications said the suspects were armed with guns and lock openers, Fox 32 Chicago reports, citing police. 

CHICAGO POLICE ARREST FOUR VENEZUELAN MIGRANTS FOR ALLEGEDLY STRANGLING, ROBBING MAN ON TRAIN

The suspects load the stolen goods into several vehicles, and in at least one instance, a white box truck appears on the scene to help the looters take away their ill-gotten gains. 

“They’re getting creative, they’re bringing a U-Haul to the alley now,” a police officer can be heard saying over police radio. 

As the daylight robbery takes place, Chicago Police Department (CPD) officers arrive on the scene and draw their weapons, forcing the mob to flee the scene, video footage shows. The dramatic incident took place near Lake St. and Lockwood Avenue, Union Pacific tells Fox News Digital. 

Witnesses told ABC7 that the burglary had been taking place for nearly an hour before police arrived.

UNION BOSS CALLS FOR NATIONAL GUARD ROLLOUT ON CHICAGO’S TRANSIT SYSTEM

“Rail burglaries are not victimless crimes, and they pose a safety threat to the public, our employees and local law enforcement officers,” a Union Pacific spokesperson tells Fox News Digital. 

Union Pacific says that some of the stolen merchandise has been recovered. 

The spillover from the incident stopped passenger traffic at around 4:40 p.m., Metra announced that inbound and outbound Union Pacific West Line trains were halted near Kedzie due to “ongoing police activity,” per Fox 32.

At 6:50 p.m., Metra said UPW train service had resumed between Elburn and Maywood but remained suspended between Maywood and Chicago, warning riders to seek alternate transportation. 

Train robberies are not uncommon in the Windy City, as a similar incident took place in August, ABC7 reports.
